The Belarus Anti-Fascist Resistance Leaflets collection consists of 97 World War II leaflets produced during the period of German occupation of Belarus in 1941-1944. Most of the leaflets in this collection were published clandestinely by the multiple Soviet guerilla (partisan) detachments, as well as by the scores of underground resistance groups which operated in German-occupied cities and villages. The leaflets were distributed to the population of the occupied territories and were addressed to the “Belarusian brothers and sisters,” to the young men who were lured into serving in German police and paramilitary units, to the workers and farmers of various Belarus regions, etc.

The collection contains reports prepared for and by a variety of Soviet and Ukrainian government agencies, such as the KGB, documenting and detailing the most important developments in the wake of the explosion of the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant (NPP) on April 26, 1986 in the Ukrainian city of Pripyat. Gerritsen began collecting books, pamphlets and periodicals reflecting the revolution of a feminist consciousness and the movement for women's rights. By the time their successors finished their work in 1945, the Gerritsen Collection was the greatest single source for the study of women's history in the world, with materials spanning four centuries and 15 languages. Integrum World Wide is the largest full text database of Russia and the CIS. Among other content, the database comprises hourly updated texts from the Russian and English press (regional and national newspapers and periodicals, monitoring services from TV and radio, press agencies), statistics (Goskomstat), legal texts, governmental publications, patents (Rospatent), belletristics, bibliographic databases of the Russian Academy of Sciences (INION), internet sources, address and phone directories, Yellow Pages, etc.

The Journal Citation Reports provide statistical information on journals (e.g. journal impact factors) sourced from the Web of Science Core Collection. The JCR includes information on more than 9,500 science journals, 3,500 social sciences journals, 1,500 arts & humanities journals and 4,500 Gold Open Access journals. Although available on a separate platform, the JCR may directly be accessed from most of the records included in the Web of Science.

JSTOR provides access to more than 12 million academic journal articles, books, and primary sources in 75 disciplines. Users from the Max Planck Society have access to selected archival collections of scholarly journals and more than 3,000 Open Access ebooks. The book selection is continuously extended by single e-book acquisitions by MPG libraries. For the archival collections, JSTOR's agreements with publishers include an updating provision referred to as a "moving wall". The moving wall is a fixed period of time ranging, in most cases, from two to five years, that defines the gap between the most recently published issue and the date of the most recent issues available in JSTOR.

The Russian-language newspaper Kavkaz (Caucasus) was published during 1846-1918 in Tiflis (Tbilisi), Georgia. The newspaper's main purpose was to promote the Russian culture and Russian influence in the Caucasus as well as to acquaint the Russian public with the life, habits and traditions of the tribes populating the province of the Caucasus. The paper published official documents of the Russian Empire, as well as many historical, cultural and archeological writings.

Kino Zhurnal A.R.K. ("The Magazine of the Association of Revolutionary Cinematography") is a Soviet film magazine, published in Moscow between 1925-1926. The archive contains all twelve issues of the monthly magazine consisting of 444 articles which deal with Soviet and international cinema.

The "Krokodil" was published from 1922 to 2008 and the most popular satirical magazine of the USSR, with a circulation of 6.5 million copies. It made fun of religion, alcoholism, political personalities and events as well as bureaucracy and excessive central control. The cartoons contained in the "Krokodil" can be used as a measure of the correct party line at that time. Users are able to search for persons and organizations and find them not only in the articles, but also in cartoons and drawings.

Macmillan Online provides historians and political scientists with direct access to documents from the highest level of Government during the Macmillan Administration. With some 30,000 images of original documents, taken from CAB 128 and CAB 129 as well as selected files from PREM 11 and CAB 124, this project is as important a source for world history as it is for British politics. "The Making of the Modern World: Goldsmiths'-Kress Library of Economic Literature 1450-1850" provides digital facsimile images on every page of 61,000 works of literature on economic and business published from 1450 through 1850. Fulltext searching on more than 12 million pages provides researchers unparalleled access to this vast collection of material on commerce, finance, social conditions, politics, trade and transport.

The Middle East Online Series One – Arab-Israeli Relations 1917-1970 – offers the widest range of original source material from the Foreign Office, Colonial Office, War Office and Cabinet Papers from the 1917 Balfour Declaration through to the Black September war of 1970-1. Here major policy statements are set out in their fullest context, the minor documents and marginalia revealing the workings of colonial administration and, following the creation of the State of Israel in 1948, British diplomacy towards Israel and the Arab states. Additional value has been added to this Series 1 by the expansion from the original 562 TNA records to over 17,000, thus substantially improving access to over 137,000 pages documenting the politics, administration, wars and diplomacy of the Palestine Mandate, the Independence of Israel and the Arab-Israeli conflict.

MOML 7 includes historical codes of law as well as commentaries on laws from all over the world. This module supports the research of comparative law and interdisciplinary fields touching the social sciences. Jurisdictions include Great Britain, Ireland, France, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, as well as other countries in northern and Eastern Europe. The Making of Modern Law: Foreign, Comparative and International Law, 1600-1926, gives any library the kind of historical resources previously found only at the largest and oldest repositories and gives even the most extensive libraries online access to foreign and international legal literature. Coverage is primarily from the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, but there are also several hundred classics in European international law since the seventeenth century. FCIL includes pre-1926 treatises and similar monographs, sourced from the collections of the Yale, George Washington University, and Columbia law libraries, in the following areas: International Law; Comparative Law; Foreign Law; Roman Law; Islamic Law; Jewish Law; and Ancient Law.

The Making of Modern Law (MOML 1) enables the comprehensive exploration of modern law and its development in the 19th and 20th century. More than 10-million pages from works of the American and British history of law, which appeared between 1800 and 1926, can be researched in the fulltext. In doing so, almost all aspects of the American and British law are covered. These aspects are opened up by a searchable representation of 99 areas of law. The approximately 21,000 works comprise casebooks, speeches, courtbooks, but also pamphlets and letters.

MOML 5 of "The Making of modern law" contains municipal and state regulations and constitutional conventions from three centuries of American legal history. The database supports far-reaching research in legal and social history, from the eighteenth century to the era following World War II. Consisting of US state and territorial codes, municipal codes, and constitutional conventions and compilations. Included topics are the debate on slavery and the post-reconstruction racial law, women's suffrage, education and the school system.

The database continues the existing databases MOML 1 and 2 and supplements their content. The collection is thus complete. The full text database comprises documents, reports and materials about trials in America, the British Empire and France between 1600 and 1926. Special content is spectacular trials against historic persons, artists, etc. (Charles I, Oscar Wilde, Sacco and Vanzetti, Jeanne d'Arc). "Unofficial published accounts of trials, official trial documents, briefs and arguments" are an important source to legal, cultural and social history. Altogether, more than 10,000 items are available from the Law Library holdings of Harvard and Yale, the Library of the Bar of the City of New York and the Law Library of Congress. Approx. 2,000,000 pages are searchable in full text.

Moscow News (pub. 1930-2014) was the oldest English-language newspaper in Russia and, arguably, the newspaper with the longest democratic history. From a mouthpiece of the Communist party to an influential advocate for social and political change, the pages of Moscow News reflect the shifting ideological, political, social and economic currents that have swept through the Soviet Union and Russia in the last century. The Moscow News Digital Archive contains all obtainable published issues, including issues of the newspaper’s short-lived sister publication Moscow Daily News (1932-1938).

Established in 1968 by the Spiritual Administration of the Muslims of Central Asia and Kazakhstan, and in continuous publication until its closure in 1991, the journal Muslims of the Soviet East was the only Islamic periodical carrying the official seal of approval of the Soviet government. As with many foreign language publications in the Soviet Union, the target audience of the journal were not its citizens but readers abroad. Nicknamed "The Gray Lady", the Times has long been regarded within the industry as a national newspaper of record. The Stormont Administration ran Northern Ireland as a province of the UK from 1921-72. This digital resource offers fulltext searching of facsimile images of the complete record of Stormont from the Public Record Office of Northern Ireland, along with new interpretative essays and resources. "CAB 4" represents a unique record of "how government actually works" through turbulent and often violent times.

Novoe russko slovo (The New Russian Word), published in New York since 1910, was a daily Russian newspaper until 2009, when it went weekly. In the 1920s, it shed its pro-Communist sympathies establishing itself as the premier newspaper of the Russian émigré community in New York and beyond. Due to financial difficulties and other less direct factors, the oldest Russian language periodical in North America ceased publication in 2010. Its full text archive is available for digital access via the East View platform.

For the first time, all Handbooks are available online as well is in print across the subject areas. Monthly updates introduce articles in advance of print publication and beyond the book, online-only content ensures the most current, authoritative coverage anywhere.

It enables researchers quickly and comprehensively to identify articles relevant to their field of study and reduces what could take years of research to a matter of minutes. Journals indexed span 37 key subject areas and multiple languages.

The database comprises numerous important periodicals published since 1997 in the Baltic States (Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania), Belarus, Moldova and Ukraine. It includes journals as well as neswpapers which are mostly in Russian and cover various issues of domestic and international importance.

The Portico digital preservation service was created in 2002 with the support of libraries and publishers to ensure that the world's scholarship, now stored and disseminated largely in digital form, will be accessible to future generations. Users from the Max Planck Society gain access to preserved content when specific conditions or “trigger events” cause titles to no longer be available from the publisher or through a successor.

The central topic of the database is the history of the DPs (Displaced Persons) in Europe. For this purpose, approx. 3,000 documents, made available as image files and via full text search, have been compiled. A major amount of data originates from the Wiener Library in London and from the National Archives of the UK with holdings from the General Correspondence of the Foreign Office, the Control Office for Germany and Austria and the Control Commission for Germany. The project was tutored by Dan Stone (Royal Holloway College, University of London), who wrote an introductory essay. Further contributions to the topic supplementing the database were authored by famous historians, specializing in Jewish and DP history, from Great Britain, Germany and Israel, among them Michael Brenner (Munich) and Angelika Königseder (Berlin). Through the content from the Wiener Library, a certain emphasis lies on Jewish DP history.

Pravda Ukrainy ("Ukraine Truth") was a Russian-language Soviet Ukrainian daily and a newspaper of record established 1938 in Ukraine, serving as the official organ of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Ukraine and Supreme Soviet of the Ukrainian SSR. As such the newspaper was the Ukrainian Communist Party’s leading print media agent in the dissemination of the party’s opinions about politics, culture, economics and other important issues. But in the 1990s, the newspaper jettisoned its previous ideological commitments and continued publishing as a politically independent newspaper until its discontinuation in 2014.

Preprint Citation Index is a multidisciplinary collection of preprints from a wide range of leading repositories, including arXiv, bioRxiv, chemRxiv, medRxiv, and Preprints.org. Currently, it provides more than 2 million articles ahead of the formal journal publication in the sciences, social sciences and arts & humanities. Papers from more than 20 repositories will be added in future. Within the Web of Science platform researchers can thus discover preprint records alongside peer-reviewed journal articles and other content sets. This simplifies the process of evaluating preprint quality and trustworthiness by connecting preprints to the versions of record or linking to other scholarly output from preprint authors and the citation network in Web of Science. The database Russian Military and Security Periodicals comprises numerous journals and newspapers covering military and security developments in Russia, published since 1992. Issued by the Russian Military as well as independent sources, the publications cover all branches of the armed forces, including the Russian Air Force, Army and Navy. While the majority of titles is published in Russian, the collection also includes several English-language journals.
