The ScienceDirect interface provides access to the electronic content owned by Elsevier and third-party information providers like Cell Press.
Max Planck researchers have full text access to current content in "Acta Materialia", "Current Biology" and "Lithos" as well as pre-2019 content from 900 Elsevier eJournals (incl. the journals of the former publishers Academic Press and Urban & Fischer) and Cell Press eJournals. The MPG subscription also covers a collection of 680 Elsevier eBooks acquired in 2015. In addition, selected eJournal and eBook backfiles have been purchased within the scope of the German national licenses program.
MPG has discontinued its agreement with Elsevier as of 31 December 2018. see press release
