Our knowledge of this epoch is almost exclusively based on the Hagiographic literature, in particular on this monumental collection of texts published over a period of 300 years by the Societé des Bollandistes. Fulltext collection of French literature transmitted orally or in writing, from sub-Saharan Africa. The corpus contains about 11.000 texts of diverse genres, e.g. novels, short stories, poems, songs, tales and legends, including numerous materials which are rare to be found; it covers literature from about 20 countries and 100 ethnic groups. Beyond the actual texts, the database contains the commentary as well as notes and comments from the reference editions the corpus is based on.

Database with more than 900 works of medieval French literature, composed in the langue d'oïl. It contains narrative prose, chanson de geste, poetry as well as spiritual and worldly drama. Texts have been treated as in scientifically acknowledged reference editions.

The database contains 18th and 19th century primary literature in German, English, and French from the Corvey library, and thus presents the holdings of a library of the nobility preserved as a whole.
