Illiustrirovannaia Rossiia was a literary and illustrated weekly magazine published in Paris from 1924 to 1939. The journal was aimed particularly at the growing community of Russian immigrants who had left Russia in the wake of the Bolshevik Revolution. Thus, Illiustrirovannaia Rossiia offers a unique fund of linguistic and visual representations, providing an indispensable insight into Russian cultural life in exile.

ICSD is the world’s largest database for fully identified inorganic crystal structures. It currently contains about 193,000 peer-reviewed data entries including their atomic coordinates. Updates are made twice a year (in spring and in fall) with data taken from scientific journals and other sources. Thanks to these many heterogeneous data sources the database has a wide coverage. ICSD is also updated retroactively. The oldest records date back to the year 1913 and contain information from publications by William Henry Bragg and his son.

Integrum World Wide is the largest full text database of Russia and the CIS. Among other content, the database comprises hourly updated texts from the Russian and English press (regional and national newspapers and periodicals, monitoring services from TV and radio, press agencies), statistics (Goskomstat), legal texts, governmental publications, patents (Rospatent), belletristics, bibliographic databases of the Russian Academy of Sciences (INION), internet sources, address and phone directories, Yellow Pages, etc.

The International Encyclopedia of the Social & Behavioral Sciences offers a source of social and behavioral sciences reference material. "Izvestiia" ("News") is a daily newspaper published countrywide in Russia. Though, within the (by now) wide variety of the Russian media landscape, it counts among the newspapers with the widest circulation even today, its significance for research in the field of Eastern Europe studies is mainly based on the Soviet period. Izvestiia is an important resource for interdisciplinary research of the entire period of communist rule from 1917 to 1991, as well as of the Soviet reception by the West.

The J. Walter Thompson Company Archive documents the history, operation, policies and accomplishments of one of the world's largest and oldest advertising firms. The papers here reveal many aspects of twentieth-century cultural, social, business, marketing, consumer and economic history while investigating the human psyche. The documents range from the late nineteenth century up until the late 1990s with the bulk representing the post-1945 world. The collection Jewish Life in America, c1654-1954 covers different materials related to the history of Jewish communities in America from their first arrival in New York in 1654 to the integral part that they play today. The material is based on original manuscript collections from the unique holdings of the American Jewish Historical Society in New York. The collection includes six major organisational collections and twenty-four collections of personal papers. The personal collection contain letters, scrapbooks, autobiographies, notebooks and other materials relating to the late 17th through to the mid-20th century.

The Journal de Physique was created in 1872 by Charles d'Almeida. It counts more than 300,000 pages in over 48,500 articles and represents a true scientific monument, produced since 1872, within which the great names of physics may be found.

JoVE, the Journal of Visualized Experiments, is the world's first peer reviewed scientific video journal. Established in 2006, JoVE is devoted to publishing scientific research in a visual format to help researchers overcome two of the biggest challenges facing the scientific research community today; poor reproducibility and the time and labor intensive nature of learning new experimental techniques. Though access to current volumes is no longer licensed, perpetual access rights have been granted to the content published until August 2014 in following sections: JoVE Bioengineering, JoVE Biology, JoVE Neuroscience, JoVE Clinical and Translational Medicine. In addition, articles from JoVe are usually available free of charge after a 24-month delay.

JSTOR provides access to more than 12 million academic journal articles, books, and primary sources in 75 disciplines. Users from the Max Planck Society have access to selected archival collections of scholarly journals and more than 3,000 Open Access ebooks. The book selection is continuously extended by single e-book acquisitions by MPG libraries. For the archival collections, JSTOR's agreements with publishers include an updating provision referred to as a "moving wall". The moving wall is a fixed period of time ranging, in most cases, from two to five years, that defines the gap between the most recently published issue and the date of the most recent issues available in JSTOR.

The Russian-language newspaper Kavkaz (Caucasus) was published during 1846-1918 in Tiflis (Tbilisi), Georgia. The newspaper's main purpose was to promote the Russian culture and Russian influence in the Caucasus as well as to acquaint the Russian public with the life, habits and traditions of the tribes populating the province of the Caucasus. The paper published official documents of the Russian Empire, as well as many historical, cultural and archeological writings.

Kino Zhurnal A.R.K. ("The Magazine of the Association of Revolutionary Cinematography") is a Soviet film magazine, published in Moscow between 1925-1926. The archive contains all twelve issues of the monthly magazine consisting of 444 articles which deal with Soviet and international cinema.

The KCI Korean Journal Database provides a comprehensive snapshot of the most influential regional content from researchers in South Korea. Using citation connections from the Web of Science™, regional work is framed within the broader context of global research. Created in collaboration with the National Research Foundation of Korea, this database covers articles from approximately 2,000 scholarly journals (over 1,500 new to the Web of Science).

The "Krokodil" was published from 1922 to 2008 and the most popular satirical magazine of the USSR, with a circulation of 6.5 million copies. It made fun of religion, alcoholism, political personalities and events as well as bureaucracy and excessive central control. The cartoons contained in the "Krokodil" can be used as a measure of the correct party line at that time. Users are able to search for persons and organizations and find them not only in the articles, but also in cartoons and drawings.

Language Description Heritage (LDH) provides open access to descriptive material about the world's languages with a focus on traditionally difficult to obtain works. This collection is being compiled at first by the Max Planck Institute for Evolutionary Anthropology and now by the Max Planck Institute for the Science of Human History. -- Language Description Heritage (LDH) ist eine Datenbank, die freien Zugriff auf deskriptive Materialien zu den Sprachen der Welt gewährt. Dabei legt den Schwerpunkt auf überlicherweise schwer erhältlich Arbeiten. Based on over 170,000 words and phrases from 19 different dictionaries, LexiQamus comprises the entries of the reference work "A Turkish and English lexicon" (1890) by James Redhouse and all content from the website osmanlicasozlukler.com which collects entries from Ottoman dictionaries.
