In addition, proteins and nucleic acid data are indexed providing a unique environment for molecular biologists, e.g. for design of target molecules. The Cross-National Time-Series database provides internationally-comparative economic variables, including government expenditure, population, territorial size, per capita GDP, trade, infrastructure, conflict events, elections, legislative process, political measures and international status indicators. Data for 200 countries is provided from 1815 onwards. "Data Services for the Social Sciences" is a department of GESIS - Leibniz Institute for the Social Sciences. Its mission is to foster FAIR data, open science and reproducible research in the quantitative and computational social sciences. To ensure that data holdings remain usable and interpretable over the long term, it offers sustainable infrastructures and services for data management, curation, and long-term preservation. ​These include archiving services with different curation levels for different needs as well as access to archived data including access to sensitive data in the GESIS Secure Data Center. The services also cover the data registration agency da|ra and training on data management for easier retrieval and re-analysis of data.

The numerical database DETHERM provides thermophysical property data, which are indispensable for construction and design of chemical apparatus, plants and processes. DETHERM contains literature values, together with bibliographical information, descriptors and abstracts. The following properties for pure compounds and for mixtures are stored: 1) phase equilibrium data, 2) vapor pressures and critical data, 3) thermodynamic properties, 4) transport properties, 5) surface tensions, 6) electrolyte data.

It offers a literature search across important German and international databases, including the holdings of ZBW, and provides access to information services of libraries. EconBiz - die Virtuelle Fachbibliothek Wirtschaftswissenschaften - unterstützt Sie bei der Recherche wirtschaftswissenschaftlicher Fachinformationen. Using citation connections from the Web of Science™, regional work is framed within the broader context of global research. Created in collaboration with the National Research Foundation of Korea, this database covers articles from approximately 2,000 scholarly journals (over 1,500 new to the Web of Science).

OLC Economic Sciences is a subject oriented selection of bibliographic data from the Online Contents database that is regularly enhanced by table of contents data from 3,150 additional periodicals with more than 4,500,000 records of articles out of the special collections of the ZBW – Leibniz-Informationszentrum Wirtschaft and the university library of the Helmut Schmidt university, Federal Armed Forces, Hamburg.

The database OLC Physics is a subject oriented selection of bibliographic data from the Online Contents database that is regularly enhanced by table of contents data from additional periodicals out of the special collections of the TIB Hannover, the central subject library of Germany for technology and their related subjects, especially chemistry, computer sciences, mathematics and physics.

The Online Contents service of the Special Subject Collection Political Science and Peace Research is part of the Online Contents database. It offers access to tables of contents of more than 870 journals relevant for study and research. New journals were added until December 2013 by the Special Subject Collection.
