The Publications Division of the American Chemical Society strives to provide its members and the worldwide scientific community with a comprehensive collection of high-quality information products and services, stretching across chemistry, physics, and biology. Currently, the MPG subscription covers access to * ACS Journals - about 80 magazines and peer-reviewed journals, including more than 1 million articles dating back to the inaugural volume of the Journal of the American Chemical Society in 1879. * ACS Symposium Series Online - a peer-reviewed collection of e-books from the ACS Symposium Series and Advances in Chemistry book series. The series contains an archive of more than 1,200 books dating back to the first Advances in Chemistry Series title published in 1949. beck-eLibrary.DIE FACHBIBLIOTHEK provides access to academic books, textbooks, non fiction and fiction books in a variety of fields ranging from business to law, and even history and philosophy. The eLibrary is a special offer for libraries and currently contains more than 1000 book titles from the publishing houses C.H.BECK LSW, C.H.Beck RSW, Haufe, MWV, Schäffer-Poeschel, UVK, Vahlen and Versus. Max Planck researchers have access to e-books purchased by single e-book acquisitions by MPG libraries.

Each of the 371 databases of BioCyc describes the genome and metabolic pathways of a single organism. The BioCyc databases are divided into 3 tiers, based on their quality: Tier 1: 3 Databases, which have been created through intensive manual efforts and receive continuous updating: 1) *EcoCyc* describes the model organism Escherichia coli K-12. 2) *MetaCyc* describes metabolic pathways and enzymes for more than 1,500 organisms. 3) *BOCD* (BioCyc Open Compounds Database) is an open collection of chemical compound data from the BioCyc databases. BOCD includes metabolites, enzyme activators, inhibitors, and cofactors. Tier 2: 20 Databases, which were computationally generated and have undergone moderate curation. Tier 3: 349 Databases, which were also computationally generated, but have undergone no curation. Scientists can use the BioCyc Web site to visualize individual metabolic pathways or to view the complete metabolic map of an organism. The latter diagram can be used to analyze gene expression, proteomics, or metabolomics data, such as to produce animated views of time-course gene-expression experiments. The BioCyc Web site also provides genome browsing capabilities, and for the *EcoCyc* databases in particular, provides extensive information about transcriptional mechanisms of gene regulation.

BioOne, a nonprofit organization, hosts and provides Web-based access to the full text of a uniquely valuable set of high-impact bio-science research journals. All of these journals are published by scholarly societies and other independent science publishers, and many are not available through other online services. The numerical database DETHERM provides thermophysical property data, which are indispensable for construction and design of chemical apparatus, plants and processes. DETHERM contains literature values, together with bibliographical information, descriptors and abstracts. The following properties for pure compounds and for mixtures are stored: 1) phase equilibrium data, 2) vapor pressures and critical data, 3) thermodynamic properties, 4) transport properties, 5) surface tensions, 6) electrolyte data.

The collection licensed by the DFG comprises 1000 e-Books. In addition, access to 3,400 free electronic books from all subject areas is provided.

EconBiz - a suject portal for economics and business studies - supports you in retrieving economic literature. It offers a literature search across important German and international databases, including the holdings of ZBW, and provides access to information services of libraries. EconStor is the Open Access server of the German National Library of Economics, Leibniz Information Centre for Economics. EconStor provides a basis for the free publication of academic literature in economics.

Elgaronline is the content platform for Edward Elgar Publishing's journals, reference works and books, including scholarly monographs, Research Handbooks, companions and more. Max Planck researchers have full text access to more than 2,600 business and economics e-books published by Edward Elgar from 1993 onwards.

Emerald Archive references full text articles from nearly 400 journals and more than 1,100 books published by Emerald until 2021. Add-on content, such as case studies, interviews, and reviews, is available. The major amount of the content originates from the field of economics. In addition, library science and engineering are covered.

A comprehensive online resource for the visual study of human culture and behavior and the largest, most affordable streaming video collection of its kind, Ethnographic Video Online contains more than 500 hours of classic and contemporary documentaries produced by leading video producers in the discipline; previously unpublished footage from working anthropologists and ethnographers in the field; and select feature films. Wherever possible, videos include accompanying field notes, liner notes, filmmaker biographies, related articles, study guides, and other context-enhancing, full-text materials. The CRC Handbook of Chemistry and Physics (HBCP), updated annualy, provides broad coverage of all types of physical science data commonly encountered by scientists and engineers. It consists of tables of data and current international recommendations on nomenclature, symbols and units. A new series highlights the achievements of some of the major historical figures in chemistry and physics.

The Handbook of Heterogeneous Catalysis provides around 200 expert articles covering all aspects of the subject, from the physico-chemical fundamentals to large-scale industrial applications. It is based on the 2nd revised edition (2008), edited by Gerhard Ertl, Helmut Knözinger, Ferdi Schüth and Jens Weitkamp.

Henry Stewart Talks publish state of the art audio visual presentations by leading world authorities. Biomedical & Life Sciences is a collection of specially prepared animated audio visual presentations with synchronized narration by world leading scientists, organized into comprehensive series, regularly updated and growing to over 2,000 talks.

JSTOR provides access to more than 12 million academic journal articles, books, and primary sources in 75 disciplines. Users from the Max Planck Society have access to selected archival collections of scholarly journals and more than 3,000 Open Access ebooks. The book selection is continuously extended by single e-book acquisitions by MPG libraries. For the archival collections, JSTOR's agreements with publishers include an updating provision referred to as a "moving wall". The moving wall is a fixed period of time ranging, in most cases, from two to five years, that defines the gap between the most recently published issue and the date of the most recent issues available in JSTOR.

LIVIVO bundles scientifically relevant resources from the subjects fields medicine, health, nutrition, environmental and agricultural sciences. It provides a common search interface over various data sources, such as library catalogs, specialist bibliographic databases, full texts from journals, and quality-controlled web content. LIVIVO combines the former ZB MED search portals MEDPILOT (2003 to 2015) and GREENPILOT (2009 to 2015).

MIT Press Direct is the content platform for publications owned by the MIT Press. The Press is one of the largest and distinguished university presses in the world and a leading publisher of books and journals at the intersection of science, technology, art, social science, and design. Within the Direct to Open (D2O) model Max Planck users have access to current ebooks from selected subject collections (published between 2022 and 2024), i.e. STEM collection, art and design collection, humanities and social sciences collection. The MPG subscription also covers the complete archive collection with more than 2,500 scholarly books spanning the publishing history of the MIT Press.

NMRShiftDB is a web database for organic structures and their nuclear magnetic resonance (nmr) spectra. It allows for spectrum prediction (currently only for carbon) as well as for searching spectra, structures and other properties. Last not least, it features peer-reviewed submission of datasets by its users.
