ELFI is an information brokerage system which supports its users in keeping up-to-date information on funding opportunities referring to the original data source. ELFI offers information on more than 11,000 programs on research funding, from about 4,900 national and international sponsors. The information is provided to scientists, research consultants, students and companies on the web.

The ScienceDirect interface provides access to the electronic content owned by Elsevier and third-party information providers like Cell Press. Max Planck researchers have full text access to current content in "Acta Materialia", "Current Biology" and "Lithos" as well as pre-2019 content from 900 Elsevier eJournals (incl. the journals of the former publishers Academic Press and Urban & Fischer) and Cell Press eJournals. The MPG subscription also covers a collection of 680 Elsevier eBooks acquired in 2015. In addition, selected eJournal and eBook backfiles have been purchased within the scope of the German national licenses program.

Since 1966, the ERIC Thesaurus has been a critical component of ERIC. It has evolved over the years from a printed publication used in libraries to an online tool that can help everyone find targeted resources in ERIC. This year, ERIC is updating the Thesaurus to add new terms and update existing entries. Find out how the Thesaurus supports ERIC users in their search foreducation resources. Throughout Europe, national patent offices and the European Patent Office (EPO) offer free patent information on the Internet Patents reveal solutions to technical problems, and they represent an inexhaustable source of information: more than 80 percent of man's technical knowledge is described in patent literature. From the middle of 1998 onwards, esp@cenet users have been able to access the bibliographic data of all patents published in the preceding two years by any member state of the European Patent Organisation, as well as by the European Patent Office and the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO). In addition, full-page facsimile images of documents are also retrievable to facilitate more detailed analysis of these documents. The data for this particular service is stored at the relevant national office.
The European Union Open Data portal provides federated access to public data from EU institutions and agencies. A single catalogue interface helps locate data from EU institutions, including Eurostat, the Committee of the Regions, the EC Directorate-General for Competition, DG Enterprise and Industry and the European Environment Agency. The Journal Citation Reports provide statistical information (e.g. journal impact factors) on the journals covered by the ISI databases. The two editions of the JCR include information on more than 8,500 science journals and 3,000 social sciences journals. The statistical information in the JCR is based on citation data and newly calculated every year. Available on the InCites platform, the JCR may directly be accessed from most of the records included in the Web of Science.
The database had been produced by the Akademie der Wissenschaften, Göttingen. It refers to articles from journals in German language published between 1750 and 1815. The Index of German Journals contains approx. 100.000 records.
