The ACM Digital Library is a research, discovery and networking platform containing the fulltext collection of all ACM publications, including journals, conference proceedings, technical magazines, newsletters and books. The MPG subscription provides access to nearly the entire ACM Digital Library, excluding the ACM Books series content. The Scitation platform offers access to electronic journals published by the American Institute of Physics and its member societies. The American Physical Society publishes the Physical Review journal collection of 15 leading peer-reviewed research journals includes Physical Review Letters, Physical Review X, Physical Review, and Reviews of Modern Physics. Cambridge Books Online is the online content delivery service for Cambridge University Press's electronic book collections. The current MPG subscription comprises selected subject collections, additional content may have been licensed by individual Max Planck institutes. SciFinder-n is a research solution that provides access to the world's most comprehensive and authoritative collection of chemical reactions, substances and scientific literature curated by expert scientists in chemistry and related fields like physics, material science, biochemistry and genetics. Of key importance is CAS Registry, the CAS substance collection, which includes substances, their names, structures and registry numbers. In addition, proteins and nucleic acid data are indexed providing a unique environment for molecular biologists, e.g. for design of target molecules. Furthermore, two additional CAS solutions are part of the MPG subscription: * CAS Formulus: a comprehensive formulations database that supports formulation scientists to create products * CAS Anlaytical Methods: a tool to search, compare and understand the latest published analytical and synthetic scientific methods

Criminal Justice Abstracts contains of in-depth abstracts of current books, book chapters, journal articles, government reports, and dissertations published worldwide. The database also offers extensive coverage of new books from scholarly and commercial publishers and valuable reports from public and private agencies in many nations. Prepared in co-operation with the Don M. Gottfredson Library of Criminal Justice at Rutgers University Law Library, Criminal Justice Abstracts covers a wide range of topics in criminal justice, including crime trends, crime prevention and deterrence, juvenile delinquency, juvenile justice, police, courts, punishment and sentencing.

Crystallography Journals Online provides access to following eight academic journals published by the scientific society International Union of Crystallography in association with Wiley: Acta Crystallographica Sections A to F, Journal of Applied Crystallography and Journal of Synchrotron Radiation. Users from the Max Planck Society have full text access to all articles, including the complete journal archive reaching back to 1948.

Derwent Innovations Index (DII) is a comprehensive database of international patent information, merging records from the Derwent World Patents Index® with patent citation information from the Derwent Patents Citation Index® (Derwent PCI). The index provides web access to over 14 million basic inventions and more than 20 million patents, with coverage dating back to 1963 in some technology areas. The database gives users a comprehensive overview of inventions in the global marketplace in three categories: Chemical, Engineering, and Electrical & Electronic. The bibliographic records are enriched by citation data from Derwent PCI appearing in patents from 6 major patenting authorities. Derwent DCI provides details of citations, both patent and literature, reviewed by the examiner during the examination of a patent application. Prior to May 1997, examiner and author citations were provided for 16 patent-issuing authorities. The database also contains a backfile with patent records dating back to the 1970's. Every week approximately 25,000 patent documents from more than 47 patent-issuing authorities are reviewed and value enhanced by Derwent's patent experts. In addition, every week new cited and citing references are added for approximately 45,000 records from the six major patent-issuing authorities. The resource also includes Derwent Chemical Reactions (DCR), a unique database of searchable chemical structures and other substance-based information. It is used to search for specific compounds that are indexed in Derwent World Patents Index records.

DigiZeitschriften is a digital library containing digitized back issues of core German research journals. At the moment the platform provides full-text access to more than 600 journals dating back to 1850. The archive content is edited on an ongoing basis. Any existing gaps will be filled and missing data steadily added. Users from the MPG have access to the complete journal collection, older public domain content is available free of charge to anyone.

Duncker & Humblot is a German producer of high-quality academic research and scholarly publications, especially in the fields of law and social science. The Duncker & Humblot eLibrary provides users from the Max Planck Society with access to following products: * e-book collections 2007-2010, containing about 900 e-books in the fields of law, economics, social sciences, history, politics, philosophy and literary studies. * e-book collection Economics 1996–2005, containing about 360 e-books * e-book collection 'Best of reprints' Economics and Finance 1875–1941, containing about 100 e-books The collection is continuously extended by single e-book acquisitions by MPG libraries.

Early American Imprints, Series I: Evans, 1639-1800 has been hailed as one of the most important collections ever produced on microform. The collection is based on the renowned American Bibliography by Charles Evans and enhanced by Roger Bristol's Supplement to Evans' American Bibliography. It serves as a foundation set for research involving early American history, literature, philosophy, religion, and more. Early American Imprints, Series I: Evans, 1639-1800 consists of more than 36,000 books, pamphlets, broadsides and other imprints. The CRC Handbook of Chemistry and Physics (HBCP), updated annualy, provides broad coverage of all types of physical science data commonly encountered by scientists and engineers. It consists of tables of data and current international recommendations on nomenclature, symbols and units. A new series highlights the achievements of some of the major historical figures in chemistry and physics.

The IEEE Electronic Library (IEL) provides access to almost a third of the world's current electrical engineering and computer science literature, featuring high-quality content from the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET). IEL covers all IEEE journals, transactions, and magazines, IEEE conference proceedings, IET conference proceedings, IEEE published standards and IEEE Standards Dictionary Online. The subscription includes complimentary access to selected VDE VERLAG Conference Proceedings. Access is provided via the IEEE Xplore interface.

ICSD is the world’s largest database for fully identified inorganic crystal structures. It currently contains about 193,000 peer-reviewed data entries including their atomic coordinates. Updates are made twice a year (in spring and in fall) with data taken from scientific journals and other sources. Thanks to these many heterogeneous data sources the database has a wide coverage. ICSD is also updated retroactively. The oldest records date back to the year 1913 and contain information from publications by William Henry Bragg and his son.

IOS Press is an international STM publisher of books and journals in major scientific areas.

The Journal de Physique was created in 1872 by Charles d'Almeida. It counts more than 300,000 pages in over 48,500 articles and represents a true scientific monument, produced since 1872, within which the great names of physics may be found.

MIT Press Direct is the content platform for publications owned by the MIT Press. The Press is one of the largest and distinguished university presses in the world and a leading publisher of books and journals at the intersection of science, technology, art, social science, and design. Within the Direct to Open (D2O) model Max Planck users have access to current ebooks from selected subject collections (published between 2022 and 2024), i.e. STEM collection, art and design collection, humanities and social sciences collection. NPG publishes journals, online databases, and services across the life, physical, chemical and applied sciences and clinical medicine. Nomos eLibrary provides access to academic books and journals in the subject areas of law, political sciences, economics, media and communication sciences, history, sociology, education and cultural studies, European Union, health sciences. The book selection has been continuously extended through the acquisition of individual eBook packages by MPG libraries. From volume 2022 onwards, access is given to the complete Nomos eBook portfolio.
