The edition is based on the series "Heinemann's African Writers Series", a comprehensive collection of modern African 20th century literature. The series comprises more than 300 titles and contains poetry, drama, and non-fictional literature by authors like Ama Ata Aidoo, Mongo Beti, Steve Biko, Dennis Brutus, Cyprian Ekwensi, Buchi Emecheta, Bessie Head, Luis Bernardo Honwana, Chenjerai Hove, Nelson Mandela, Jack Mapanje, and Veronique Tadjo.

The database provides access to full texts of international auction catalogues published between 1600 and 1900. Approx. 35,000 titles are planned to be digitized. The current MPG subscription comprises selected subject collections, additional content may have been licensed by individual Max Planck institutes. Max Planck authors can publish their scientific work at CUP as an Open Access eBook, with book publishing charges partly covered centrally. Further details are available on the MPDL website.

Fulltext collection of French literature transmitted orally or in writing, from sub-Saharan Africa. The corpus contains about 11.000 texts of diverse genres, e.g. novels, short stories, poems, songs, tales and legends, including numerous materials which are rare to be found; it covers literature from about 20 countries and 100 ethnic groups. Beyond the actual texts, the database contains the commentary as well as notes and comments from the reference editions the corpus is based on.

Database with more than 900 works of medieval French literature, composed in the langue d'oïl. It contains narrative prose, chanson de geste, poetry as well as spiritual and worldly drama. Texts have been treated as in scientifically acknowledged reference editions.

The database contains 18th and 19th century primary literature in German, English, and French from the Corvey library, and thus presents the holdings of a library of the nobility preserved as a whole. Nearly all textual genres are represented, whereas the contentual focus lies on the Romantic period between 1790 and 1840 (1870, respectively). The collection is structured in a modular way with regard to languages and textual genres, and comprises 5,952 works which are provided in digital form for the first time. DigiZeitschriften is a digital library containing digitized back issues of core German research journals. At the moment the platform provides full-text access to more than 600 journals dating back to 1850. The archive content is edited on an ongoing basis. Any existing gaps will be filled and missing data steadily added. Users from the MPG have access to the complete journal collection, older public domain content is available free of charge to anyone.

The collection licensed by the DFG comprises 1000 e-Books. In addition, access to 3,400 free electronic books from all subject areas is provided.

More than 200 peoples and ethnic groups are indexed on the basis of different sources. Underlying data are results of field research published as ethnographic monographies, essays or manuscripts which are used as "primary data" and subject-indexed by applying a highly complex and differentiated system down to the level of single paragraphs. The indexing is done according to the "Outline of Cultural Materials" (OCM) that contains over 700 different classification elements. Additionally, a keyword search at full text level is possible. The database is updated on a regular basis.

This collections contains 1,529 e-books containing more than 572,000 pages from 681 book titles that were written by 311 authoresses. These e-books were created from 1,830 books originally published between 1776 and 1876. The collection first and foremost contains novels and short stories, but also plays, poetry as well as a few anthologies, travel literature and children's books that stem from the holdings of the Fürstliche Bibliothek Corvey. It is the most comprehensive compilation of women's literature from the romantic period in English language. The collection contains approximately 90 percent of the British prose published during that time. The e-books contain digitally enhanced facsimile pages of the historic book pages, and additionally bookmarks pointing to relevant sections of a work. On the e-book pages, full text search functions can be carried out within the historic text and layout.
