The PsycINFO databases cover the professional and academic literature in psychology and related disciplines including medicine, psychiatry, nursing, sociology, education, pharmacology, physiology, linguistics, and other areas. Coverage is worldwide, and includes references and abstracts to over 1300 journals and to dissertations in more than 30 languages, and to book chapters and books in the English language. Over 50,000 references are added annually. Popular literature is excluded.

The database Russian Library and Information Sciences comprises professional journals from the fields of library science and bibliography as well as archives and museums. Adressing librarians, bibliographers and information specialists, the publications deal with various topics, e.g. the operation of libraries and archives, bibliographic standards and digitization in librarianship. Besides current titles from Russia and Ukraine, the collection also contains the archives of discontinued journals from the information and library sector.

Max Planck researchers have full text access to a multidisciplinary selection of the full journal collection. SciELO (Scientific Electronic Library Online) is a program of the Sao Paulo Research Foundation for the cooperative publishing of open access journals on the internet. Content includes regional journals from Latin American and the Caribbean as well as titles from Spain, Portugal and South Africa. The index covers approximately 650 titles (over 350 adding content to journals already covered in the Web of Science) and contains several million cited references.

The SpringerLink platform provides MPG staff with access to a huge collection of English and German eBooks from 2005 onwards, as well as the English and the German collection of the Springer Book Archive (1842-2004). In addition, the content of selected book series is available. Includes major reference works and dictionaries. Max Planck researchers who publish a monograph or edited volume with Springer Nature as an Open Access eBook receive a discount on the standard Book Publishing Charge. Teatro Español del Siglo de Oro contains approximately 850 works from the sixteenth and seventeenth century, by 16 major authors including Lope de Vega, Miguel de Cervantes, Calderón de la Barca and Tirso de Molina. The Arabidopsis Information Resource (TAIR) maintains a database of genetic and molecular biology data for the model higher plant Arabidopsis thaliana. Data available from TAIR includes the complete genome sequence along with gene structure, gene product information, gene expression, DNA and seed stocks, genome maps, genetic and physical markers, publications, and information about the Arabidopsis research community. Gene product function data is updated every week from the latest published research literature and community data submissions. TAIR also provides extensive linkouts from our data pages to other Arabidopsis resources. The Arabidopsis Biological Resource Center at The Ohio State University collects, reproduces, preserves and distributes seed and DNA resources of Arabidopsis thaliana and related species. Stock information and ordering for the ABRC are fully integrated into TAIR.

The database comprises (in full text) the editions of the Times Literary Supplement between 1902 and 2005. The Times Literary Supplement reviews titles from all academic disciplines as well as literature, current theater and cinema productions, and exhibitions. The database offers insight into literary life and opinion making by critics in the 20th century. TLS does not only offer access to a facsimile page of the article desired, but also identifies authors, whose names were not disclosed in the printed editions of the TLS before 1974. Altogether, more than 540,000 reviews, letters, poems and articles about more than 5,000 topics of the TLS are available in their original context. The DFG subscription covers the years 1902 - 2005 only, but currently full text access has been granted to the complete historical archive.

The goal of this database is to provide researchers with an opportunity to cross-search the contents of major Russian periodicals on social sciences and humanities. It is comprised of journals of the Russian Academy of Sciences ranging from archeology to linguistics, as well as popular literary editions, and independent scholarly publications. New titles are added on a regular basis. This Universal Database grows retroactively. Full-text and full-image content of print editions is reproduced with original pagination.
