PLOS (Public Library of Science) is a nonprofit publisher and advocacy organization founded to accelerate progress in science and medicine by leading a transformation in research communication. PLOS entered the publishing arena in October 2003 with the launch of PLOS Biology, followed in October 2004 by PLOS Medicine. Since 1995 the MUSE journal collections cover full-text versions of scholarly journals from many of the world's leading university presses and scholarly societies, with over 120 publishers currently participating.

The PsycINFO databases cover the professional and academic literature in psychology and related disciplines including medicine, psychiatry, nursing, sociology, education, pharmacology, physiology, linguistics, and other areas. Coverage is worldwide, and includes references and abstracts to over 1300 journals and to dissertations in more than 30 languages, and to book chapters and books in the English language. Over 50,000 references are added annually. Popular literature is excluded.

Collection of 937 texts about religion and theology, written by 430 authors from the benedictines' abbey St. Walburg in Eichstätt, published between the 16th and the 19th century. Single works have been digitally facsimilized and are available in pdf format. Generally, all sub-disciplines of theology are covered. St. Walburg Abbey is one of the few monasteries that have survived secularization. The monastery's library, the traces of which reach back to the second half of the 15th century, has been preserved completely and is unique regarding its wholeness.

RiffReporter is a German news magazine based in Berlin and was founded in 2017. RiffReporter delivers in-depth and thoroughly researched journalistic content on topics such as environment, science, technology, society and global affairs. The cooperatively run journalism portal was awarded the renowned Grimme Online Award in 2018. The MPG subscription covers full text access to all content available on the RiffReporter platform.

This database is comprised of a collection of journals and newspapers on Islam, published in Russia, in the Russian language. Produced in Moscow, Nizhnii Novgorod and Makhachkala, these publications cover issues of Islamic studies in Russia, activities of Islamic organizations in Russia and abroad, political and economic developments in the Muslim regions of Russia. The database is updated regularly with current issues, but also has an archive, some titles going back to 2007-2010.

SciELO (Scientific Electronic Library Online) is a program of the Sao Paulo Research Foundation for the cooperative publishing of open access journals on the internet. Content includes regional journals from Latin American and the Caribbean as well as titles from Spain, Portugal and South Africa. The index covers approximately 650 titles (over 350 adding content to journals already covered in the Web of Science) and contains several million cited references.

ScienceOpen is a networking platform for scholars to enhance their research in the open, make an impact, and receive credit for it. The site provides advanced search and discovery functions, combined with post-publication peer review, recommendation, social sharing, and collection-building features. The SpringerLink platform provides MPG staff with access to a huge collection of English and German eBooks from 2005 onwards, as well as the English and the German collection of the Springer Book Archive (1842-2004). In addition, the content of selected book series is available. Includes major reference works and dictionaries. Max Planck researchers who publish a monograph or edited volume with Springer Nature as an Open Access eBook receive a discount on the standard Book Publishing Charge. Since the publication of its first installment in 1976 the Theologische Realenzyklopädie has provided a comprehensive account of the state of theological research. TLS does not only offer access to a facsimile page of the article desired, but also identifies authors, whose names were not disclosed in the printed editions of the TLS before 1974. Altogether, more than 540,000 reviews, letters, poems and articles about more than 5,000 topics of the TLS are available in their original context. The DFG subscription covers the years 1902 - 2005 only, but currently full text access has been granted to the complete historical archive.

Casalini libri's full text platform offers access to over 29,000 ebooks and 840 ejournals from more than 200 Italian, Spanish, French and Portuguese publishers. Max Planck users have access to: * EIO Monographs - a collection of 1,500 monographs and proceedings in humanities and social sciences from academic publishers in Italy. * EIO Periodicals Archive - pre-2011 content of 221 academic journals published by various Italian publishers.

The goal of this database is to provide researchers with an opportunity to cross-search the contents of major Russian periodicals on social sciences and humanities. It is comprised of journals of the Russian Academy of Sciences ranging from archeology to linguistics, as well as popular literary editions, and independent scholarly publications. New titles are added on a regular basis. This Universal Database grows retroactively. Full-text and full-image content of print editions is reproduced with original pagination.
