DigiZeitschriften is a digital library containing digitized back issues of core German research journals. At the moment the platform provides full-text access to more than 600 journals dating back to 1850. The archive content is edited on an ongoing basis. Any existing gaps will be filled and missing data steadily added. Users from the MPG have access to the complete journal collection, older public domain content is available free of charge to anyone.

A comprehensive online resource for the visual study of human culture and behavior and the largest, most affordable streaming video collection of its kind, Ethnographic Video Online contains more than 500 hours of classic and contemporary documentaries produced by leading video producers in the discipline; previously unpublished footage from working anthropologists and ethnographers in the field; and select feature films. Wherever possible, videos include accompanying field notes, liner notes, filmmaker biographies, related articles, study guides, and other context-enhancing, full-text materials. F1000 Research is an open research and open access publishing platform, providing a suite of publishing services directly to researchers, research funders and institutions. The platform supports innovative features such as post-publication peer review, open peer review, and publication of negative results. In the late 1800's, Dutch physician and feminist Aletta Jacobs and her husband C.V. Gerritsen began collecting books, pamphlets and periodicals reflecting the revolution of a feminist consciousness and the movement for women's rights. By the time their successors finished their work in 1945, the Gerritsen Collection was the greatest single source for the study of women's history in the world, with materials spanning four centuries and 15 languages. The Gerritsen curators gathered more than 4,700 publications from continental Europe, the U.S., the United Kingdom, Canada, and New Zealand, dating from 1543-1945. The anti-feminist case is presented as well as the pro-feminist; many other titles present a purely objective record of the condition of women at a given time.

H1 Connect is a literature awareness and recommendation tool that comprehensively highlights and reviews the most interesting papers published in biology and medicine. It is based on the recommendations of a faculty of selected leading scientists and enables researchers to set up a personalized literature service.

HighWire Press is a division of the Stanford University Libraries, which produces the online versions of more than 1000 peer-reviewed journals mainly in the area of life sciences (biology, chemistry, medicine), supplemented by content from the social sciences. LexiQamus is a reference work and online tool for identifying and analyzing illegible words from Ottoman-Turkish texts. It can even be used to search for the recognisable parts of a word. Based on over 170,000 words and phrases from 19 different dictionaries, LexiQamus comprises the entries of the reference work "A Turkish and English lexicon" (1890) by James Redhouse and all content from the website osmanlicasozlukler.com which collects entries from Ottoman dictionaries.

The Library of Latin Texts, originating from the Cetedoc Library of Christian Latin Texts (CLCLT), is the most comprehensive collection of Latin texts. The database contains texts from the beginnings of Latin literature (Livius Andronicus, 240 B.C.) until the 2nd Vatican Council (1962-1965). It covers the classical period as well as works by the Church Fathers, medieval Latin literature, or even works from the reformation and counter-reformation. Additionally, texts from Corpus Christianorum / Series Latina and Continuatio Mediaevalis as well as from a large number of editions of the Corpus Scriptorum Ecclesiasticorum Latinorum, from the Patrologia Latina, from the Sources Chrétiennes, from the Opera Sancti Bernardi, Biblia Sacra Vulgata and the pseudo epigraphical scripts of the Old Testament are available. The subscription covers full text access to all content added until January 2015.

LIVIVO bundles scientifically relevant resources from the subjects fields medicine, health, nutrition, environmental and agricultural sciences. It provides a common search interface over various data sources, such as library catalogs, specialist bibliographic databases, full texts from journals, and quality-controlled web content. LIVIVO combines the former ZB MED search portals MEDPILOT (2003 to 2015) and GREENPILOT (2009 to 2015).

The Middle Eastern & North African Newspapers collection includes publications from across this dynamic region, providing unique insights into the history of individual countries, as well as broad viewpoints on key historic events from the late nineteenth century through the present. Key topics include the decline of colonialism, the collapse of the Ottoman Empire, the Suez Crisis, the Cold War, the rise of the petroleum industry, twentieth-century pan-Arab movements, both World Wars, the establishment of the state of Israel, the Iran-Iraq War, and the recent Arab Spring. Researchers will find a wealth of unique content from the Middle East and North Africa, much of which has never been digitized or available as open access material. Periodicals Archive Online is a major archive that makes the backfiles of scholarly periodicals in the arts, humanities and social sciences available electronically, providing access to the searchable full text of hundreds of titles. The database spans more than two centuries of content, 37 key subject areas, and multiple languages.

PLOS (Public Library of Science) is a nonprofit publisher and advocacy organization founded to accelerate progress in science and medicine by leading a transformation in research communication.
