Established in 1968 by the Spiritual Administration of the Muslims of Central Asia and Kazakhstan, and in continuous publication until its closure in 1991, the journal Muslims of the Soviet East was the only Islamic periodical carrying the official seal of approval of the Soviet government. As with many foreign language publications in the Soviet Union, the target audience of the journal were not its citizens but readers abroad. The Muslims of the Soviet East Archive contains the most complete collection of the journal in the English language and provides researchers an insight into the life of Soviet Muslims, journal’s obvious propagandistic slant and purpose notwithstanding.

The New York Times is an American newspaper based in New York City and founded in 1851. The NYT is ranked 18th in the world by circulation and 3rd in the United States. Nicknamed "The Gray Lady", the Times has long been regarded within the industry as a national newspaper of record. From volume 2022 onwards, access is given to the complete Nomos eBook portfolio. The Stormont Administration ran Northern Ireland as a province of the UK from 1921-72. This digital resource offers fulltext searching of facsimile images of the complete record of Stormont from the Public Record Office of Northern Ireland, along with new interpretative essays and resources. "CAB 4" represents a unique record of "how government actually works" through turbulent and often violent times.

OECD iLibrary is the online library of the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) featuring its books, papers and statistics and is the gateway to OECD’s analysis and data. It also contains content published by the International Energy Agency (IEA), the Nuclear Energy Agency (NEA), the OECD Development Centre, PISA (Programme for International Student Assessment), and the International Transport Forum (ITF).

The multidisciplinary database OLC International Relations and Area Studies contains table of contents of journals from several special subject collections, including political science, economics, the Middle East and other regional special subject collections. It offers a multidisciplinary selection from the Online Contents database, with additional input from other special subject collections. The International Relations and Area Studies section currently covers approximately 797 journals.

The Online Contents service of the Special Subject Collection Political Science and Peace Research is part of the Online Contents database. It offers access to tables of contents of more than 870 journals relevant for study and research. New journals were added until December 2013 by the Special Subject Collection. Thus the database contains approximately 1.478,600 records of journal articles and reviews.

Oxford Handbooks Online is a collection of handbooks in 17 subject areas, bringing together the world's leading scholars to write review essays that evaluate the current thinking on a field or topic, and make an original argument about the future direction of the debate. For the first time, all Handbooks are available online as well is in print across the subject areas. Monthly updates introduce articles in advance of print publication and beyond the book, online-only content ensures the most current, authoritative coverage anywhere.

Including Oxford Scholarship Online (OSO), the University Press Scholarship Online (UPSO) publishes new books every month from an ever-growing roster of contributing presses, each adding to the variety of subjects covered on the platform. The MPG purchased the volumes 2003-2013/2014 of 16 OSO subject collections. This selection is continuously extended by single e-book acquisitions by MPG libraries.

This historic journal index enables the simultaneous search in millions of citations for articles published in the arts, humanities and social sciences, across more than 300 years. It enables researchers quickly and comprehensively to identify articles relevant to their field of study and reduces what could take years of research to a matter of minutes. Journals indexed span 37 key subject areas and multiple languages.

The database comprises numerous important periodicals published since 1997 in the Baltic States (Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania), Belarus, Moldova and Ukraine. It includes journals as well as neswpapers which are mostly in Russian and cover various issues of domestic and international importance.

The central topic of the database is the history of the DPs (Displaced Persons) in Europe. For this purpose, approx. 3,000 documents, made available as image files and via full text search, have been compiled. A major amount of data originates from the Wiener Library in London and from the National Archives of the UK with holdings from the General Correspondence of the Foreign Office, the Control Office for Germany and Austria and the Control Commission for Germany. The project was tutored by Dan Stone (Royal Holloway College, University of London), who wrote an introductory essay. Further contributions to the topic supplementing the database were authored by famous historians, specializing in Jewish and DP history, from Great Britain, Germany and Israel, among them Michael Brenner (Munich) and Angelika Königseder (Berlin). Through the content from the Wiener Library, a certain emphasis lies on Jewish DP history.

Project MUSE is a leading provider of digital humanities and social science content for the scholarly community. Since 1995 the MUSE journal collections cover full-text versions of scholarly journals from many of the world's leading university presses and scholarly societies, with over 120 publishers currently participating.

The database Russian Military and Security Periodicals comprises numerous journals and newspapers covering military and security developments in Russia, published since 1992. Issued by the Russian Military as well as independent sources, the publications cover all branches of the armed forces, including the Russian Air Force, Army and Navy. While the majority of titles is published in Russian, the collection also includes several English-language journals.

SAGE Journals Online provides access to more than 1000 journals with a coverage spanning the humanities, social sciences, and science, technology, and medicine. Max Planck researchers have full text access to a multidisciplinary selection of the full journal collection. In addition, the agreement covers article-processing charges for Max Planck authors in Gold Open Access journals and in hybrid titles in the SAGE Premier package. The International Encyclopedia of the Social & Behavioral Sciences, edited by Neil J. Smelser and Paul B. Baltes, is the first attempt in a generation to map the social and behavioral sciences on a grand scale. Not since the publication in 1968 of the International Encyclopedia of the Social Sciences, edited by David L. Sills, has there been such an ambitious project to describe the state of the art in all the fields encompassed within the social and behavioral sciences.

SocINDEX is the world's most comprehensive and highest quality sociology research database. Subject headings from a 15,000 term sociology-specific thesaurus designed by expert lexicographers and extensive indexing for books, monographs, conference papers and other sources is included. Searchable cited references are also provided.

The monthly magazine "Soviet Woman" was published between 1945-1991 and dealt with the lifestyle and role of Soviet women. Primarily adressing a Western audience, it simultanously published in Russian, English, German and French. It covered various topics such as economics, politics, life abroad, life in Soviet republics, women’s fashion, culture and the arts. Furthermore, the magazine included translations of Soviet literary works. The archive comprises more than 500 of the English-language issues.
