Jahrhunderts, mit Schwerpunkt auf der Kaiser-Wilhelm-Gesellschaft und der Max-Planck-Gesellschaft. Nachweise von Monographien, Periodika sowie Aufsätzen aus Zeitschriften und Sammelwerken. Die Sacherschließung erfolgt unter Einsatz der SWD.

The Staatsbibliothek zu Berlin - Preußischer Kulturbesitz (Berlin State Library - Prussian Cultural Heritage) acquires texts from all fields of knowledge in all languages, in every available form, from all epochs and all countries of the world - providing the materials are of interest for academic and research purposes. Bowker's Books in Print is a bibliographic database on the ProQuest platform featuring millions of in-print, out-of-print, and forthcoming books, audio books, and videos from more than 40 countries, including the U.S., U.K., Canada, Australia, New Zealand, as well as Spanish-language titles from Spain and Central and South America. Book descriptions available are extended by annotations, tables of contents, and publisher information.

The union catalog encompasses the holdings of the Bavarian State Library, of libraries of Bavarian Universities and Universities of Applied Sciences, of several regional libraries and of some institutions affiliated with churches or ministeries. ELFI is an information brokerage system which supports its users in keeping up-to-date information on funding opportunities referring to the original data source. ELFI offers information on more than 11,000 programs on research funding, from about 4,900 national and international sponsors. The information is provided to scientists, research consultants, students and companies on the web.

GBV is the Common Library Network of the German Federal States Bremen, Hamburg, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Niedersachsen, Sachsen-Anhalt, Schleswig-Holstein and Thüringen. The head office of the GBV (VZG) is situated in Göttingen. The GBV has established a virtual library in form of the GBV Union Catalogue (GVK) combining the resources of all participating libraries and making them easily accessible to the public.

The Max Planck e-Book Index provides holdings of electronic books licensed for users in the Max Planck Society.

The Max Planck Journal Index provides holdings of a great range of printed journals available within the Max Planck Society. Besides, it contains metadata of electronic journals as loaded from the EZB. The database is updated regularly from the ZDB (twice a year) and the EZB (monthly).

The library of the Max Planck Institute for the History of Science is an interdisciplinary special library focussing in its collections on the history of science. Its inventory, built up since 1994, is only available to scientists from the institute and is not part of the interlibrary loan system.
