Preprint Citation Index is a multidisciplinary collection of preprints from a wide range of leading repositories, including arXiv, bioRxiv, chemRxiv, medRxiv, and Preprints.org. Currently, it provides more than 2 million articles ahead of the formal journal publication in the sciences, social sciences and arts & humanities. Papers from more than 20 repositories will be added in future. Within the Web of Science platform researchers can thus discover preprint records alongside peer-reviewed journal articles and other content sets. This simplifies the process of evaluating preprint quality and trustworthiness by connecting preprints to the versions of record or linking to other scholarly output from preprint authors and the citation network in Web of Science. Furthermore you can link directly to the preprint repositories to view each version of the preprint and download full texts.

The PsycINFO databases cover the professional and academic literature in psychology and related disciplines including medicine, psychiatry, nursing, sociology, education, pharmacology, physiology, linguistics, and other areas. Coverage is worldwide, and includes references and abstracts to over 1300 journals and to dissertations in more than 30 languages, and to book chapters and books in the English language. Over 50,000 references are added annually. Popular literature is excluded.

The database Russian Military and Security Periodicals comprises numerous journals and newspapers covering military and security developments in Russia, published since 1992. Issued by the Russian Military as well as independent sources, the publications cover all branches of the armed forces, including the Russian Air Force, Army and Navy. While the majority of titles is published in Russian, the collection also includes several English-language journals.

SAGE Journals Online provides access to more than 1000 journals with a coverage spanning the humanities, social sciences, and science, technology, and medicine. SciELO (Scientific Electronic Library Online) is a program of the Sao Paulo Research Foundation for the cooperative publishing of open access journals on the internet. Content includes regional journals from Latin American and the Caribbean as well as titles from Spain, Portugal and South Africa. The index covers approximately 650 titles (over 350 adding content to journals already covered in the Web of Science) and contains several million cited references.

The monthly magazine "Soviet Woman" was published between 1945-1991 and dealt with the lifestyle and role of Soviet women. Primarily adressing a Western audience, it simultanously published in Russian, English, German and French. It covered various topics such as economics, politics, life abroad, life in Soviet republics, women’s fashion, culture and the arts. Furthermore, the magazine included translations of Soviet literary works. The archive comprises more than 500 of the English-language issues.

The SpringerLink platform provides MPG staff with access to a huge collection of English and German eBooks from 2005 onwards, as well as the English and the German collection of the Springer Book Archive (1842-2004). The Nation is America's oldest weekly magazine and one of its premier journals of opinion since its inception. The New Republic Archive comprises all editions of the journal "The New Republic" in full text, from its first edition in 1914 until 2010. It is a political and cultural paper which in its essays, comments, and analyses deals both with internal and foreign political topics concerning the USA, and with cultural and educational policy, art and literature. Among its authors are many excellent journalists and writers. Whereas regarding internal politics its orientation is predominantly left-wing, its attitude towards foreign affairs is more conservative.
