The Acta Sanctorum are one of the most important sources for the exploration of society and culture in the Early Christian and medieval Europe. Our knowledge of this epoch is almost exclusively based on the Hagiographic literature, in particular on this monumental collection of texts published over a period of 300 years by the Societé des Bollandistes. Analecta Hymnica Medii Aevi, edited by Guido Maria Dreves in collaboration with Clemens Flower and Henry M. Bannister, is an important collection of medieval Latin poetry (hymns, sequences, tropes, and psalteries). It was published from 1886 to 1926 in 55 volumes and is now available in an electronic version.

It will grow to become the most comprehensive resource for the study of social and cultural life yet created. The majority of the content is in English, with some French and German material. Geographical coverage is global, with special focus given outside the developed world. The database contains the text editions of the printed Aristoteles Latinus series and is continuously enriched by additional editions. Data Europa EU is a central point of access to European open data from international, European Union, national, regional, local and geodata portals. The official portal for Euopean data consolidates the former EU Open Data Portal and the European Data Portal. Data Europa EU gives access and fosters the reuse of European open data among citizens, business and organisations. The portal promotes and supports the release of more and better-quality metadata and data by the EU’s institutions, agencies and other bodies, and European countries, enhancing the transparency of European administrations. Furthermore, it is intended to educate citizens and organisations about the opportunities that arise from the availability of open data. The current release features the English translation of Barth's magnum opus, The Church Dogmatics, in its entirety. The original German version, Die kirchliche Dogmatik, is also included as are the first 36 volumes of Barth's Gesamtausgabe, which includes hundreds of letters, sermons, lectures, conversations, and academic writings. The collection provides a comprehensive set of American books, pamphlets, broadsides and other imprints published in the early part of the 19th century. It is based on the noted -American Bibliography, 1801-1819- by Ralph R. Shaw and Richard H. Shoemaker and covers more than four million pages from over 36,000 items - including 1,000 catalogued new items unavailable in previous microform editions. The collection licensed by the DFG comprises 1000 e-Books. In addition, access to 3,400 free electronic books from all subject areas is provided.

More than 200 peoples and ethnic groups are indexed on the basis of different sources. Underlying data are results of field research published as ethnographic monographies, essays or manuscripts which are used as "primary data" and subject-indexed by applying a highly complex and differentiated system down to the level of single paragraphs. The indexing is done according to the "Outline of Cultural Materials" (OCM) that contains over 700 different classification elements. Additionally, a keyword search at full text level is possible. The database is updated on a regular basis.

The collection Jewish Life in America, c1654-1954 covers different materials related to the history of Jewish communities in America from their first arrival in New York in 1654 to the integral part that they play today. The material is based on original manuscript collections from the unique holdings of the American Jewish Historical Society in New York. The collection includes six major organisational collections and twenty-four collections of personal papers. The personal collection contain letters, scrapbooks, autobiographies, notebooks and other materials relating to the late 17th through to the mid-20th century.

Kino Zhurnal A.R.K. ("The Magazine of the Association of Revolutionary Cinematography") is a Soviet film magazine, published in Moscow between 1925-1926. The archive contains all twelve issues of the monthly magazine consisting of 444 articles which deal with Soviet and international cinema.

Collection of 949 texts about mysticism and asceticism, written by 414 12th to 18th century authors from the benedictines' abbey St. Walburg in Eichstätt, published between the 16th and the 19th century. Single works have been digitally facsimilized and are available in pdf format. Most texts are written in German, only 10% are in Latin. Nearly half of the works are translations, which accounts for the high degree of cultural exchange between Germany, Italy, France, Spain and Portugal during the 17th and 18th centuries. St. Walburg Abbey is one of the few monasteries that have survived secularization. The monastery's library, the traces of which reach back to the second half of the 15th century, has been preserved completely and is unique regarding its wholeness.

North American Immigrant Letters, Diaries and Oral Histories includes thousands of authors and approximately 100,000 pages of information, thus providing a unique and personal view of what it meant to immigrate to America and Canada between 1800 and 1950. Composed of contemporaneous letters and diaries, oral histories, interviews, and other personal narratives, the series provides a rich source for scholars in a wide range of disciplines. In selected cases, users will be able to hear the actual audio voices of the immigrants.
