The collection licensed by the DFG comprises 1000 e-Books. In addition, access to 3,400 free electronic books from all subject areas is provided.

Emerald Archive references full text articles from nearly 400 journals and more than 1,100 books published by Emerald until 2021. Add-on content, such as case studies, interviews, and reviews, is available. The major amount of the content originates from the field of economics. In addition, library science and engineering are covered.

In the late 1800's, Dutch physician and feminist Aletta Jacobs and her husband C.V. Gerritsen began collecting books, pamphlets and periodicals reflecting the revolution of a feminist consciousness and the movement for women's rights. By the time their successors finished their work in 1945, the Gerritsen Collection was the greatest single source for the study of women's history in the world, with materials spanning four centuries and 15 languages. The Gerritsen curators gathered more than 4,700 publications from continental Europe, the U.S., the United Kingdom, Canada, and New Zealand, dating from 1543-1945. The anti-feminist case is presented as well as the pro-feminist; many other titles present a purely objective record of the condition of women at a given time.

IEL covers all IEEE journals, transactions, and magazines, IEEE conference proceedings, IET conference proceedings, IEEE published standards and IEEE Standards Dictionary Online. The subscription includes complimentary access to selected VDE VERLAG Conference Proceedings. Access is provided via the IEEE Xplore interface.

ingentaconnect hosts scholarly books and journals from a range of different publishers. Millions of articles, chapters and reports are available for you to search across, and access to full text is available by pay-per-view or by subscription to individual publications.

IOPscience is a platform for scientific content published by IOP Publishing and selected publishing partners. Users from the Max Planck Society have access to nearly the entire journal collection. This includes the content provided by the Institute of Physics, The Electrochemical Society, Turpion (English translations of leading Russian journals) and the American Astronomical Society. In addition, the Max Planck Society covers article-processing charges for all IOP fully Open Access and selected hybrid journals centrally. Further details are available on the MPDL website.

Karger is a scientific publisher of journals and books in all medical areas, including immunology, genetics, oncology, nephrology, neurology, cellular and molecular biology. MPG staff has full text access to the current content of the entire Karger journal collection and selected eBooks. Language Description Heritage (LDH) provides open access to descriptive material about the world's languages with a focus on traditionally difficult to obtain works. This collection is being compiled at first by the Max Planck Institute for Evolutionary Anthropology and now by the Max Planck Institute for the Science of Human History. -- Language Description Heritage (LDH) ist eine Datenbank, die freien Zugriff auf deskriptive Materialien zu den Sprachen der Welt gewährt.
