Anthropology Online brings together a wide range of written ethnographies, field notes, seminal texts, memoirs, and contemporary studies, covering human behavior the world over. It will grow to become the most comprehensive resource for the study of social and cultural life yet created. Cross-searchable with Ethnographic Video Online, Anthropology Online provides sociologists, anthropologists, cultural historians, and others with complete works of the key practitioners and theorists alike throughout the discipline. The majority of the content is in English, with some French and German material. Geographical coverage is global, with special focus given outside the developed world. Ranging from 19th century to the present day, Anthropology Online documents the history and development of the discipline itself, while also providing the most comprehensive tool for current trends and contemporary study.

Nomos eLibrary provides access to academic books and journals in the subject areas of law, political sciences, economics, media and communication sciences, history, sociology, education and cultural studies, European Union, health sciences. The book selection has been continuously extended through the acquisition of individual eBook packages by MPG libraries. From volume 2022 onwards, access is given to the complete Nomos eBook portfolio. The database OLC Environment is a subject oriented selection of bibliographic data from the Online Contents database that is regularly enhanced by table of contents data from additional periodicals out of the special collections of the TIB Hannover, the central subject library of Germany for technology and their related subjects, especially chemistry, computer science, mathematics and physics. Currently 514 journals are being indexed back to the year of publication in 1993.

RiffReporter is a German news magazine based in Berlin and was founded in 2017. RiffReporter delivers in-depth and thoroughly researched journalistic content on topics such as environment, science, technology, society and global affairs. The cooperatively run journalism portal was awarded the renowned Grimme Online Award in 2018. The MPG subscription covers full text access to all content available on the RiffReporter platform.

The SpringerLink platform provides MPG staff with access to a huge collection of English and German eBooks from 2005 onwards, as well as the English and the German collection of the Springer Book Archive (1842-2004). In addition, the content of selected book series is available. Includes major reference works and dictionaries. Max Planck researchers who publish a monograph or edited volume with Springer Nature as an Open Access eBook receive a discount on the standard Book Publishing Charge. The Umwelt-Online platform contains all relevant legal regulations on topics such as environmental protection, occupational safety, transport of dangerous goods, hazardous materials and systems engineering. The content is continuously updated.
