With more than 700.000 items, the BBF is today Europe's second largest library specialised in education. Like the Herzog-August-Bibliothek in Wolfenbüttel, it belongs to the association of German cultural research libraries fulfilling a national role.

On its website, the Federal Constitutional Court has published English-language versions of selected decisions since 1998. The decisions published on the website are anonymised and may have been abridged in consultation with the Justices concerned. Das Bundesverfassungsgericht veröffentlicht auf seinen Internetseiten alle wesentlichen Entscheidungen ab 1998. Dies sind alle Senatsentscheidungen (nicht aber Nebenentscheidungen wie z.B. Streitwertbeschlüsse und Kostenfestsetzungen) und viele begründete Kammerbeschlüsse. Betreffen mehrere Verfahren einen einheitlichen Sachverhalt und führen deswegen zu weitgehend einheitlichen Entscheidungen, wird nur das Pilotverfahren veröffentlicht. The trilingual termbase DIN-TERM provides translations for German, French or English standardized terms. The database contains concepts from valid and withdrawn standards, draft standards and specifications.

DRQEdit aims to digitize German juristic literature from the 15th and 16th century.Included is literature concerning the Rezeption of the Roman right, the transition of the Ius comune in normative texts and juridical literature. DRQEdit hat das Ziel, die deutschsprachige juristische Literatur des 15. und 16. Jahrhunderts als Corpus im WWW verfügbar zu machen. Damit geht es um die Rezeption des römischen Rechts, um die Übernahme des an den Universitäten gelehrten Ius commune in Normtexte und juristische Gebrauchsliteratur. Diese Werke sind zum großen Teil schwer zugänglich - für wenige gibt es moderne Editionen; die übrigen gibt es oft nur in wenigen Exemplaren, für deren Benutzung man den jeweiligen Handschriftenlesesaal vor Ort aufsuchen muss.

The Research Data Centre (FDZ) of the German Federal Employment Agency (BA) at the Institute for Employment Research (IAB) is intended mainly to facilitate access to BA and IAB micro data for non-commercial empirical research using standardised and transparent access rules. The FDZ mediates between data producers and external users, and also controls for compliance with data protection regulations.

The database KRIMDok online covers criminological literature and literature of sciences related to criminology (e.g. psychology). LIVIVO bundles scientifically relevant resources from the subjects fields medicine, health, nutrition, environmental and agricultural sciences. It provides a common search interface over various data sources, such as library catalogs, specialist bibliographic databases, full texts from journals, and quality-controlled web content. LIVIVO combines the former ZB MED search portals MEDPILOT (2003 to 2015) and GREENPILOT (2009 to 2015).

The Library of the Max Planck Institute for European Legal History is one of the world’s leading legal history libraries which owns up to 440,000 printed items and a multitude of electronic resources.

The Library and Information Service (BIS) is the joint library for the Max-Planck-Institute for Meteorology (MPI-M) and five institutes of the Center for Earth System Science and Sustainability. The cooperation with some university institutes regarding the library exists since the foundation of the MPI-M in 1975.

The Otto Hahn Library is a special scientific library which provides the institutes on the Max Planck Campus at Göttingen-Nikolausberg with literature and information. Its holdings primarily consist of literature covering the fields of research of the institutes Multidisciplinary Sciences and Dynamics & Self-Organization.
