BioMed Central is an STM (Science, Technology and Medicine) publisher of 270 peer-reviewed open access journals. The portfolio of journals spans all areas of biology, biomedicine and medicine and includes broad interest titles, such as BMC Biology and BMC Medicine alongside specialist journals, such as Retrovirology and BMC Genomics. On its website, the Federal Constitutional Court has published English-language versions of selected decisions since 1998. The decisions published on the website are anonymised and may have been abridged in consultation with the Justices concerned. Betreffen mehrere Verfahren einen einheitlichen Sachverhalt und führen deswegen zu weitgehend einheitlichen Entscheidungen, wird nur das Pilotverfahren veröffentlicht. This catalogue records information in e-journals, e-books, databases, and printed material about themes in the field of the international law. Especially, a large part of the print collection of the Peace Palace Library is searchable through this catalogue. This collection consists of books and materials since 1913.

The CODICES database contains the full text of over 10 000 judgments from over 100 courts mainly in English and in French, but also in other languages, as well as summaries of these judgments (précis) in English and in French. CODICES also contains the laws on constitutional courts and courts with equivalent jurisdiction and the constitutions of nearly all the Venice Commission member and observer states as well as other information including court descriptions and the Joint Council on Constitutional Justice’s mini-conference reports.

Digi20 concentrates on the digitalization of monographs published in the second half of the 20th century, predominantly in the field of humanities and social sciences. In the first phase of the project, approx. 4,700 titles of programme segments of the publishers Vandenhoeck & Ruprecht, Wilhelm Fink / Ferdinand Schöningh as well as Otto Sagner were digitized. In a second phase, further approx. 1,750 titles are being included till 2014 by consecutively digitizing all monographs up to a defined ‘Moving Wall’ of three to five years to the current year of publication.

Since its foundation in 1964 the Max Planck Institute for European Legal History has been intensively engaged in research into the history of private law in Europe. It therefore has a particularly rich store of literary sources on 19th century German, Austrian and Swiss private and civil procedural law. With support from the German Research Foundation (DFG) it has been possible to digitize this exceptional concentration of material and make it available to a wider scientific audience. In the course of the project, which extended from 1997 until 2002, some 4,316 volumes were digitized comprising around 1,350,000 pages. For the Institute library this venture into digitization represents a continuation of its long-standing initiative to maintain and conserve its collections.

DRQEdit aims to digitize German juristic literature from the 15th and 16th century.Included is literature concerning the Rezeption of the Roman right, the transition of the Ius comune in normative texts and juridical literature. DRQEdit hat das Ziel, die deutschsprachige juristische Literatur des 15. und 16. Jahrhunderts als Corpus im WWW verfügbar zu machen. Damit geht es um die Rezeption des römischen Rechts, um die Übernahme des an den Universitäten gelehrten Ius commune in Normtexte und juristische Gebrauchsliteratur. Diese Werke sind zum großen Teil schwer zugänglich - für wenige gibt es moderne Editionen; die übrigen gibt es oft nur in wenigen Exemplaren, für deren Benutzung man den jeweiligen Handschriftenlesesaal vor Ort aufsuchen muss.

The ECOLEX database includes information on treaties, international soft-law and other non-binding policy and technical guidance documents, national legislation, judicial decisions, and law and policy literature. Users have direct access to the abstracts and indexing information about each document, as well as to the full text of most of the information provided.

EUR-Lex provides free access to public EU documents in the 24 official languages. This includes: * the Official Journal of the European Union * EU law (EU treaties, directives, regulations, decisions, consolidated legislation, etc.) * preparatory acts (legislative proposals, reports, green and white papers, etc.) * EU case-law (judgements, orders, etc.) * international agreements * EFTA documents * other public documents EUR-Lex is based on the CELEX database, and is updated daily.

Frontiers is a community-oriented open-access academic publisher and research network. It was launched in 2007 by scientists from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne and aims to provide better tools and services to researchers in the Internet age. Since then, Frontiers has become one of the fastest-growing open-access scholarly publishers: over 400,000 high-quality, peer-reviewed articles have been published in about 200 community-driven journals across more than 300 specialty niches in science, medicine and technology. GeoReM is a Max Planck Institute database for reference materials of geological and environmental interest, such as rock powders, synthetic and natural glasses as well as mineral, isotopic, biological, river water and seawater reference materials. It contains published analytical data and compilation values (major and trace element concentrations and mass fractions, radiogenic and stable isotope ratios). GeoReM covers all important metadata about the analytical values such as uncertainty, analytical method and laboratory. Sample information and references are also included. GeoReM contains almost 3,400 reference materials, about 46,200 analyses from almost 10,000 papers, and preferred analytical values (State: November 2017).

Bei GovData handelt es sich um ein Metadatenportal, über das Bund, Länder und Kommunen ihre Daten zugänglich machen. Zentraler Bestandteil von GovData ist ein Metadatenkatalog. Über die darin enthaltenen standardisierten Metadaten (einheitliche strukturierte Beschreibungen) sind die Daten einfach auffindbar und zugänglich. Die Daten selbst werden weiterhin von den Datenbereitstellern dezentral vorgehalten und gepflegt.

Together with UNCTAD's databases on policy measures, international investment agreements and dispute settlement, it represents the key features of national and international investment policies.The online Investment Laws Navigator allows users to access the full text of the national investment laws and search for key topics (e.g. entry conditions, investment promotion, dispute settlement) as well as for individual law articles (e.g. definition of investment, national treatment, expropriation clause). The UNCTAD Investment Laws database also offers a tool for policymakers, companies, academics and others to compare investment laws between countries and analyse their coherence between national investment laws and international investment agreements. The database KRIMDok online covers criminological literature and literature of sciences related to criminology (e.g. psychology). The literature referred is predominantly German-speaking and consists of independent and dependent writings (books or essays). -- Die Datenbank KRIMDok online weist kriminologische Literatur sowie Literatur der kriminologischen Bezugswissenschaften nach (z.B. LIVIVO bundles scientifically relevant resources from the subjects fields medicine, health, nutrition, environmental and agricultural sciences. It provides a common search interface over various data sources, such as library catalogs, specialist bibliographic databases, full texts from journals, and quality-controlled web content. LIVIVO combines the former ZB MED search portals MEDPILOT (2003 to 2015) and GREENPILOT (2009 to 2015).

The library collects literature on public international law and foreign public law from all over the world and in all languages. The library has the status of a United Nations Depository Library since 1949 and is also a European Documentation Centre of the European Union.
