MIT Press Direct is the content platform for publications owned by the MIT Press. The Press is one of the largest and distinguished university presses in the world and a leading publisher of books and journals at the intersection of science, technology, art, social science, and design. Within the Direct to Open (D2O) model Max Planck users have access to current ebooks from selected subject collections (published between 2022 and 2024), i.e. STEM collection, art and design collection, humanities and social sciences collection. The MPG subscription also covers the complete archive collection with more than 2,500 scholarly books spanning the publishing history of the MIT Press.

MOML 7 includes historical codes of law as well as commentaries on laws from all over the world. This module supports the research of comparative law and interdisciplinary fields touching the social sciences. Jurisdictions include Great Britain, Ireland, France, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, as well as other countries in northern and Eastern Europe. Of interest to historians is the inclusion of texts in Western languages on significant topics, such as Ausfuerhliches handbuch ueber den Code Napoleon (1810) and Motivi, Rapporti, opinioni e discorsi -- per la formazione del codice napoleone (1838-1849). The large British component, which includes Public General Acts, 1801-1922, assures that about half the titles are in English. In MOML 8, the legal systems of different countries are compared. It contains treatises and other legal writings, such as commentaries, encyclopaedia entries and monographs, mainly from the 19th and 20th centuries. The database is a digital collection of historical legal codes and similar statutory materials, as well as commentaries on codes from around the world, focusing on Italy, Spain, Portugal, Latin America (including Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Cuba, Mexico, and other countries), Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Egypt, and India. This archive supports the study of comparative law and the interdisciplinary fields of study that touch on the social sciences. Analogous materials from canon law and Roman law are also included.

The Making of Modern Law: Foreign, Comparative and International Law, 1600-1926, gives any library the kind of historical resources previously found only at the largest and oldest repositories and gives even the most extensive libraries online access to foreign and international legal literature. Coverage is primarily from the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, but there are also several hundred classics in European international law since the seventeenth century. FCIL includes pre-1926 treatises and similar monographs, sourced from the collections of the Yale, George Washington University, and Columbia law libraries, in the following areas: International Law; Comparative Law; Foreign Law; Roman Law; Islamic Law; Jewish Law; and Ancient Law.

MOML 5 of "The Making of modern law" contains municipal and state regulations and constitutional conventions from three centuries of American legal history. The database supports far-reaching research in legal and social history, from the eighteenth century to the era following World War II. Consisting of US state and territorial codes, municipal codes, and constitutional conventions and compilations. Included topics are the debate on slavery and the post-reconstruction racial law, women's suffrage, education and the school system.

Nature Publishing Group (NPG) is a publisher of high impact scientific and medical information in print and online. NPG publishes journals, online databases, and services across the life, physical, chemical and applied sciences and clinical medicine. Nomos eLibrary provides access to academic books and journals in the subject areas of law, political sciences, economics, media and communication sciences, history, sociology, education and cultural studies, European Union, health sciences. The book selection has been continuously extended through the acquisition of individual eBook packages by MPG libraries. From volume 2022 onwards, access is given to the complete Nomos eBook portfolio. O'Reilly is an electronic reference library by providing access to technical content from leading publishers, including books, videos, proven learning paths, case studies, interactive tutorials and audio books. The learning platform gives access to the latest titles from O'Reilly and from Pearson's collection of imprints which include: Addison-Wesley Professional, Adobe Press, Cisco Press, Macromedia Press, New Riders, Peachpit Press, Prentice Hall PTR, Sun Microsystems Press, Que, and Sams. Microsoft Press titles are also available in O'Reilly.

OECD iLibrary is the online library of the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) featuring its books, papers and statistics and is the gateway to OECD’s analysis and data. It also contains content published by the International Energy Agency (IEA), the Nuclear Energy Agency (NEA), the OECD Development Centre, PISA (Programme for International Student Assessment), and the International Transport Forum (ITF).

Including Oxford Scholarship Online (OSO), the University Press Scholarship Online (UPSO) publishes new books every month from an ever-growing roster of contributing presses, each adding to the variety of subjects covered on the platform. The MPG purchased the volumes 2003-2013/2014 of 16 OSO subject collections. This selection is continuously extended by single e-book acquisitions by MPG libraries.

Portland Press Limited, the wholly-owned trading subsidiary of the Biochemical Society, is a leading innovative publisher of journals, books and electronic resources. Project MUSE is a leading provider of digital humanities and social science content for the scholarly community. Since 1995 the MUSE journal collections cover full-text versions of scholarly journals from many of the world's leading university presses and scholarly societies, with over 120 publishers currently participating.

The PsycINFO databases cover the professional and academic literature in psychology and related disciplines including medicine, psychiatry, nursing, sociology, education, pharmacology, physiology, linguistics, and other areas. Coverage is worldwide, and includes references and abstracts to over 1300 journals and to dissertations in more than 30 languages, and to book chapters and books in the English language. Over 50,000 references are added annually. Popular literature is excluded.

Regional Business News provides comprehensive fulltext coverage for regional business publications. The database incorporates coverage of 75 business journals, newspapers and newswires from all metropolitan and rural areas within the United States. This database is updated on a daily basis.

The Rockefeller University Press publishes three journals with a good standing in the biomedical field: * The Journal of Experimental Medicine, * The Journal of General Physiology, * The Journal of Cell Biology (formerly: The Journal of Biophysical and Biochemical Cytology). SciELO (Scientific Electronic Library Online) is a program of the Sao Paulo Research Foundation for the cooperative publishing of open access journals on the internet. Content includes regional journals from Latin American and the Caribbean as well as titles from Spain, Portugal and South Africa. The index covers approximately 650 titles (over 350 adding content to journals already covered in the Web of Science) and contains several million cited references.

SocINDEX is the world's most comprehensive and highest quality sociology research database. Subject headings from a 15,000 term sociology-specific thesaurus designed by expert lexicographers and extensive indexing for books, monographs, conference papers and other sources is included. Searchable cited references are also provided.

The SpringerLink platform provides MPG staff with access to a huge collection of English and German eBooks from 2005 onwards, as well as the English and the German collection of the Springer Book Archive (1842-2004). In addition, the content of selected book series is available. Includes major reference works and dictionaries. Max Planck researchers who publish a monograph or edited volume with Springer Nature as an Open Access eBook receive a discount on the standard Book Publishing Charge.
