AIP Conference Proceedings contain over 100,000 articles available from Vol. 1 (1970) onwards and is growing by 100 volumes every year. High quality proceedings of events in physics, materials science and relevant mathematical disciplines are published.

ICSD is the world’s largest database for fully identified inorganic crystal structures. It currently contains about 193,000 peer-reviewed data entries including their atomic coordinates. Updates are made twice a year (in spring and in fall) with data taken from scientific journals and other sources. Thanks to these many heterogeneous data sources the database has a wide coverage. ICSD is also updated retroactively. The oldest records date back to the year 1913 and contain information from publications by William Henry Bragg and his son.

MIT Press Direct is the content platform for publications owned by the MIT Press. The Press is one of the largest and distinguished university presses in the world and a leading publisher of books and journals at the intersection of science, technology, art, social science, and design. Within the Direct to Open (D2O) model Max Planck users have access to current ebooks from selected subject collections (published between 2022 and 2024), i.e. STEM collection, art and design collection, humanities and social sciences collection. The MPG subscription also covers the complete archive collection with more than 2,500 scholarly books spanning the publishing history of the MIT Press.

The RISM database references mostly historical music manuscripts, the majority of them originated before 1800. - The original sources are available from the libraries, music archives, and private collections as indicated in the RISM database. The SpringerLink platform provides MPG staff with access to a huge collection of English and German eBooks from 2005 onwards, as well as the English and the German collection of the Springer Book Archive (1842-2004). In addition, the content of selected book series is available. Includes major reference works and dictionaries. Max Planck researchers who publish a monograph or edited volume with Springer Nature as an Open Access eBook receive a discount on the standard Book Publishing Charge. SpringerMaterials is based on the Landolt-Börnstein New Series, the unique, fully evaluated data collection in all areas of physical sciences and engineering. It is a systematic and comprehensive resource of selected and critically assessed data explained in their scientific context.

The German National Library of Science and Technology (TIB) ‒ Leibniz Information Centre for Science and Technology and University Library is a central specialised library, responsible for operating the German National Library for technology, architecture, chemistry, information technology, mathematics and physics as well as the University Library for Leibniz Universität Hannover. As the world's largest specialised library in its fields, the library has excellent collections of technical and scientific specialist and research information.
