The Publications Division of the American Chemical Society strives to provide its members and the worldwide scientific community with a comprehensive collection of high-quality information products and services, stretching across chemistry, physics, and biology. Currently, the MPG subscription covers access to * ACS Journals - about 80 magazines and peer-reviewed journals, including more than 1 million articles dating back to the inaugural volume of the Journal of the American Chemical Society in 1879. * ACS Symposium Series Online - a peer-reviewed collection of e-books from the ACS Symposium Series and Advances in Chemistry book series. The series contains an archive of more than 1,200 books dating back to the first Advances in Chemistry Series title published in 1949. The Scitation platform offers access to electronic journals published by the American Institute of Physics and its member societies. Users from the MPG have access to journals of following societies: * Acoustical Society of America (ASA) * American Association of Physics Teacher (AAPT) * American Institute of Physics (AIP), incl. The EMS Publishing House is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the publication of high-quality peer-reviewed journals and high-quality books, on all academic levels and in all fields of pure and applied mathematics.

The FHI library offers the researchers of the Fritz Haber Institute a strong support in the publication process, especially for Open Access publications. It supports the researchers in all their information needs, providing electronic and printed contents and collects special literature covering the research fields of the institute (surface science and catalysis). The library catalogue contains books, e-books, dissertations, journal volumes, book series and holdings from the department libraries.

JSTOR provides access to more than 12 million academic journal articles, books, and primary sources in 75 disciplines. Users from the Max Planck Society have access to selected archival collections of scholarly journals and more than 3,000 Open Access ebooks. The book selection is continuously extended by single e-book acquisitions by MPG libraries. For the archival collections, JSTOR's agreements with publishers include an updating provision referred to as a "moving wall". The moving wall is a fixed period of time ranging, in most cases, from two to five years, that defines the gap between the most recently published issue and the date of the most recent issues available in JSTOR.

VuFind is our new library resource portal. The library currently offers about 11,000 monographs and conference proceeedings. It holds subscriptions for over 200 journals, an electronic catalogue and a list of Electronic journals and databases.

The Library and Information Service (BIS) is the joint library for the Max-Planck-Institute for Meteorology (MPI-M) and five institutes of the Center for Earth System Science and Sustainability. The cooperation with some university institutes regarding the library exists since the foundation of the MPI-M in 1975.

The special library maintained by the Max Planck Institute of Molecular Physiology contains approximately 15,000 books and series of volumes and 25,900 bound journals covering the fields of biochemistry, organic chemistry, molecular and cell biology, protein chemistry and structural biology.

The Otto Hahn Library is a special scientific library which provides the institutes on the Max Planck Campus at Göttingen-Nikolausberg with literature and information. Its holdings primarily consist of literature covering the fields of research of the institutes Multidisciplinary Sciences and Dynamics & Self-Organization.
