Early American Imprints, Series I: Evans, 1639-1800 has been hailed as one of the most important collections ever produced on microform. The collection is based on the renowned American Bibliography by Charles Evans and enhanced by Roger Bristol's Supplement to Evans' American Bibliography. It serves as a foundation set for research involving early American history, literature, philosophy, religion, and more. Early American Imprints, Series I: Evans, 1639-1800 consists of more than 36,000 books, pamphlets, broadsides and other imprints. The collection Jewish Life in America, c1654-1954 covers different materials related to the history of Jewish communities in America from their first arrival in New York in 1654 to the integral part that they play today. The material is based on original manuscript collections from the unique holdings of the American Jewish Historical Society in New York. The collection includes six major organisational collections and twenty-four collections of personal papers. The personal collection contain letters, scrapbooks, autobiographies, notebooks and other materials relating to the late 17th through to the mid-20th century.

About 450,000 social science publications are presented together in SOLIS with a short description of the contents (January 2014). 15,000 new references are added annually. There are web links to full text entries for more than 25,000 references to new publications: included therein are articles in online journals, research reports - predominantly from institutional series -, as well as congress reports and dissertations. Rund 450.000 sozialwissenschaftliche Veröffentlichungen werden in SOLIS mit einer kurzen Inhaltsangabe vorgestellt (Stand Januar 2014). Jährlich kommen ungefähr 15.000 neue Nachweise hinzu. Bei rund 25.000 Nachweisen neuerer Veröffentlichungen sind Links zu Volltexten im Web enthalten: Es handelt sich dabei um Artikel in Online-Zeitschriften, um Forschungsberichte - überwiegend aus Institutsreihen - sowie einige Kongressberichte und Dissertationen.
