In view of the failed revolution of the years 1848 / 1849, this collection of the so called 'forty-eighters' documents their influences on the development of the USA in the 19th century. The database comprises numerous important periodicals published since 1997 in the Baltic States (Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania), Belarus, Moldova and Ukraine. It includes journals as well as neswpapers which are mostly in Russian and cover various issues of domestic and international importance.
