Crystallography Journals Online provides access to following eight academic journals published by the scientific society International Union of Crystallography in association with Wiley: Acta Crystallographica Sections A to F, Journal of Applied Crystallography and Journal of Synchrotron Radiation. Users from the Max Planck Society have full text access to all articles, including the complete journal archive reaching back to 1948.

Derwent Innovations Index (DII) is a comprehensive database of international patent information, merging records from the Derwent World Patents Index® with patent citation information from the Derwent Patents Citation Index® (Derwent PCI). The index provides web access to over 14 million basic inventions and more than 20 million patents, with coverage dating back to 1963 in some technology areas. The database gives users a comprehensive overview of inventions in the global marketplace in three categories: Chemical, Engineering, and Electrical & Electronic. The bibliographic records are enriched by citation data from Derwent PCI appearing in patents from 6 major patenting authorities. Derwent DCI provides details of citations, both patent and literature, reviewed by the examiner during the examination of a patent application. Prior to May 1997, examiner and author citations were provided for 16 patent-issuing authorities. The database also contains a backfile with patent records dating back to the 1970's. Every week approximately 25,000 patent documents from more than 47 patent-issuing authorities are reviewed and value enhanced by Derwent's patent experts. In addition, every week new cited and citing references are added for approximately 45,000 records from the six major patent-issuing authorities. The resource also includes Derwent Chemical Reactions (DCR), a unique database of searchable chemical structures and other substance-based information. It is used to search for specific compounds that are indexed in Derwent World Patents Index records.

The collection licensed by the DFG comprises 1000 e-Books. In addition, access to 3,400 free electronic books from all subject areas is provided.

The CRC Handbook of Chemistry and Physics (HBCP), updated annualy, provides broad coverage of all types of physical science data commonly encountered by scientists and engineers. It consists of tables of data and current international recommendations on nomenclature, symbols and units. A new series highlights the achievements of some of the major historical figures in chemistry and physics.

The series comprises articles and tables of data relevant to crystallographic research and to applications of crystallographic methods in all sciences concerned with the structure and properties of materials. Emphasis is given to symmetry, diffraction methods and techniques of crystal structure determination, and the physical and chemical properties of crystals. Each volume also contains discussions of theory, practical explanations and examples, all of which are useful for teaching. Nature Publishing Group (NPG) is a publisher of high impact scientific and medical information in print and online. NPG publishes journals, online databases, and services across the life, physical, chemical and applied sciences and clinical medicine. The "JPS Journals" platform provides access to the academic journals published by the Physical Society of Japan (JPS). These journals cover the subject area from condensed matter physics to particle physics.

The SpringerLink platform provides MPG staff with access to a huge collection of English and German eBooks from 2005 onwards, as well as the English and the German collection of the Springer Book Archive (1842-2004). In addition, the content of selected book series is available. Includes major reference works and dictionaries. Max Planck researchers who publish a monograph or edited volume with Springer Nature as an Open Access eBook receive a discount on the standard Book Publishing Charge. The journal collection on the SpringerLink platform includes more than 2,500 English-language and close to 200 German-language journals. The current subscription provides Max Planck researchers with full text access to nearly the entire journal collection. Archive of 15 periodicals and proceedings published online by Trans Tech Publications during the period between 1984 and 2022. The archive - with its broad subject diversity and its renowned journals indexed in well-established databases (e.g. Material Science Forum, Defect and Diffusion Forum, Key Engineering Materials) - is a valuable platform for the bibliographic retrieval of scientists, especially in the field of modern solid state and materials science.
