GBV is the Common Library Network of the German Federal States Bremen, Hamburg, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Niedersachsen, Sachsen-Anhalt, Schleswig-Holstein and Thüringen. The head office of the GBV (VZG) is situated in Göttingen. The GBV has established a virtual library in form of the GBV Union Catalogue (GVK) combining the resources of all participating libraries and making them easily accessible to the public.

Histat serves as access-platform of time series data collected in the framework of economic and social historical research.All together, all in the database Histat contained time series enclose about five and a half million values. From the year 1800 at least thousand values for nearly each year are available, from the middle of the 19th century there are already more than 10.000 values on hand via Histat, and with the foundation of the German Empire (in 1871) there are more than 20.000 values available per year. The highlights are the years at the beginning of the 20th Century: for several years there are about 60.000 values available via histat.

Das Lin|gu|is|tik-Portal bietet Fachinformationen zu allen Bereichen der Sprachwissenschaft, von Allgemeiner und Vergleichender Linguistik über die größeren europäischen Einzelphilologien bis hin zu kleinen, bedrohten oder alten Sprachen. LIVIVO bundles scientifically relevant resources from the subjects fields medicine, health, nutrition, environmental and agricultural sciences. It provides a common search interface over various data sources, such as library catalogs, specialist bibliographic databases, full texts from journals, and quality-controlled web content. LIVIVO combines the former ZB MED search portals MEDPILOT (2003 to 2015) and GREENPILOT (2009 to 2015).

Im Rahmen der digitalen Monumenta Gremaniae Historica (dMGH) wurden in einem von der DFG geförderten Gemeinschaftsprojekt zwischen den MGH und der Bayerischen Staatsbibliothek, München, sämtliche Editionsbände der MGH digitalisiert und Open Access zur Verfügung gestellt. Neue Bände werden nach einer Schutzfrist von drei Jahren in die dMGH aufgenommen („moving wall“). Bis Ende 2010 war die Volltexterfassung der älteren Bände abgeschlossen. Eine Volltextsuche ist über die Abteilungen möglich: - Scriptores (Geschichtsschreiber) - Leges (Rechtstexte) - Diplomata (Urkunden) - Epistolae (Briefe) - Antiquitates (Dichtung und Gedenküberlieferung) - Quellen zur Geistesgeschichte des Mittelalters (QQ zur Geistesgesch.) - Deutsches Mittelalter. MPG.PuRe is the publication repository of the Max Planck Society. It contains bibliographic data and numerous fulltexts of the publications of its researchers. The repository is based on PubMan, a publication repository software developed by the Max Planck Digital Library. PuRe was introduced in the MPG in May 2009 and replaced the former institutional repository eDoc.

A collaborative effort of the Networked Digital Library of Theses and Dissertations (NDLTD), OCLC, VTLS, and Scirus, the NDLTD Union Catalog contains more than one million records of electronic theses and dissertations. Das "Répertoire International d'Iconographie Musicale" (RIdIM) ist ein internationaler Verbund zur Verzeichnung und Erschließung von Musik- und Tanzdarstellungen im Bereich der bildenden Kunst und des Kunsthandwerks. In der "Datenbank zu Musik und Tanz in der Kunst" der RIdIM Arbeitsstelle Deutschland werden v.a. Objekte aus größeren Museen, Sammlungen und Bibliotheken in Deutschland katalogisiert. Die Erschließung der Kunstwerke in der Datenbank folgt formalen (Künstler, Titel, Entstehungsland, bzw. -ort, Technik, Datierung, besitzende Institution, Inventarnummer, etc.) und inhaltlichen Kriterien (allgemeine und musikalische Ikonographie, Musikinstrumente, allgemeine Beschreibung). Begleitend zur Katalogisierung dokumentiert die Arbeitsstelle die katalogisierten Objekte mit Bildreproduktionen.

The RISM database references mostly historical music manuscripts, the majority of them originated before 1800. - The original sources are available from the libraries, music archives, and private collections as indicated in the RISM database. The research database "Scholarly Journals and Newspapers in the Age of Enlightenment", conducted by the Göttingen Academy of Sciences, provides an extensive systematic index to German-language periodicals of the 18th century. It is based on the long-term research project "Scholarly Journals and Newspapers", which besides indexing and digitizing these scholarly journals aims to visualize their significant role for the emergence and structures of the "Enlightened scientific community". The project focuses on interdisciplinary journals, comprising of original contributions, book reviews, scholarly news as well as all facets of critique. The interactive online database also includes the data of the two previous research projects "Index of German-language Periodicals" (IdZ 18) and "Systematic Index of German-language Review Journals" (IdRZ 18). By the year 2025, it will give access to 323 periodicals (ca. 2,775 volumes and ca. 1,260,000 pages), spanning the time period 1688-1815.
