Moscow News (pub. 1930-2014) was the oldest English-language newspaper in Russia and, arguably, the newspaper with the longest democratic history. From a mouthpiece of the Communist party to an influential advocate for social and political change, the pages of Moscow News reflect the shifting ideological, political, social and economic currents that have swept through the Soviet Union and Russia in the last century. The Moscow News Digital Archive contains all obtainable published issues, including issues of the newspaper’s short-lived sister publication Moscow Daily News (1932-1938).

Established in 1968 by the Spiritual Administration of the Muslims of Central Asia and Kazakhstan, and in continuous publication until its closure in 1991, the journal Muslims of the Soviet East was the only Islamic periodical carrying the official seal of approval of the Soviet government. As with many foreign language publications in the Soviet Union, the target audience of the journal were not its citizens but readers abroad. The Muslims of the Soviet East Archive contains the most complete collection of the journal in the English language and provides researchers an insight into the life of Soviet Muslims, journal’s obvious propagandistic slant and purpose notwithstanding.

From volume 2022 onwards, access is given to the complete Nomos eBook portfolio. This digital resource offers fulltext searching of facsimile images of the complete record of Stormont from the Public Record Office of Northern Ireland, along with new interpretative essays and resources. Novoe russko slovo (The New Russian Word), published in New York since 1910, was a daily Russian newspaper until 2009, when it went weekly. In the 1920s, it shed its pro-Communist sympathies establishing itself as the premier newspaper of the Russian émigré community in New York and beyond. Due to financial difficulties and other less direct factors, the oldest Russian language periodical in North America ceased publication in 2010. Its full text archive is available for digital access via the East View platform.

It offers a multidisciplinary selection from the Online Contents database, with additional input from other special subject collections. The International Relations and Area Studies section currently covers approximately 797 journals.

The Online Contents service of the Special Subject Collection Political Science and Peace Research is part of the Online Contents database. It offers access to tables of contents of more than 870 journals relevant for study and research. New journals were added until December 2013 by the Special Subject Collection. Thus the database contains approximately 1.478,600 records of journal articles and reviews.

The database POLDOK, in its current version, contains up to 40,000 documents including bibliographical metadata, subject headings and summaries about the topic "Politics of the 80ies". The retrieval system "Freitext" enables fast and convenient access to the database. Freitext was developed in the course of the BMFT project "FiSch - Fachinformation in Schulen" under the management of Prof. Dr. Robert Funk. -- Die Datenbank POLDOK enthält in der vorliegenden Fassung knapp 40.000 Dokumente mit bibliographischen Angaben, Schlagwörtern und Kurzreferaten zum Themenbereich "Politik der 80er Jahre". Das Retrievalsystem Freitext ermöglicht einen schnellen und komfortablen Suchzugriff auf die Datenbank. Freitext wurde im BMFT-Projekt "FiSch - Fachinformation in Schulen" unter der Leitung von Prof. Dr. Robert Funk entwickelt.
