AIP Conference Proceedings contain over 100,000 articles available from Vol. 1 (1970) onwards and is growing by 100 volumes every year. High quality proceedings of events in physics, materials science and relevant mathematical disciplines are published.
The Scitation platform offers access to electronic journals published by the American Institute of Physics and its member societies. Users from the MPG have access to journals of following societies: * Acoustical Society of America (ASA) * American Association of Physics Teacher (AAPT) * American Institute of Physics (AIP), incl. AIP Conference Proceedings * American Physical Society (APS) * Science & Technology of Materials, Interfaces, and Processing (AVS) * Society of Rheolog The MPG subscription covers article-processing charges for Max Planck authors in AIP's own journals as of 2020; OA publication in most of AIP's partner societies journals will be made available in 2021. Further details are available on the MPDL website.

The FHI library offers the researchers of the Fritz Haber Institute a strong support in the publication process, especially for Open Access publications. It supports the researchers in all their information needs, providing electronic and printed contents and collects special literature covering the research fields of the institute (surface science and catalysis). The library catalogue contains books, e-books, dissertations, journal volumes, book series and holdings from the department libraries.
ICSD is the world’s largest database for fully identified inorganic crystal structures. It currently contains about 193,000 peer-reviewed data entries including their atomic coordinates. Updates are made twice a year (in spring and in fall) with data taken from scientific journals and other sources. Thanks to these many heterogeneous data sources the database has a wide coverage. ICSD is also updated retroactively. The oldest records date back to the year 1913 and contain information from publications by William Henry Bragg and his son.

SciFinder® is a research discovery application that provides access to the world's most comprehensive and authoritative source of references, substances and reactions in chemistry and related sciences like physics, material science, biochemistry and genetics. CAS REGISTRY, a separate file of chemical compounds, provides access to substances, their names, structures and registry numbers. In addition, proteins and nucleic acid data are indexed providing a unique environment for molecular biologists, e.g. for design of target molecules. ChemZent provides access to the first and only English-searchable version of Chemisches Zentralblatt, the oldest journal of chemistry abstracts, covering the literature from 1830-1969.
Book Collection • Reference Work
The SpringerLink platform provides MPG staff with access to a huge collection of English and German e-Books from 2005 onwards, as well as the English and the German collection of the Springer Book Archive (1842-2004). In addition, the content of selected book series is available. Includes major reference works and dictionaries.
Miscellaneous • Book Collection
SpringerMaterials is based on the Landolt-Börnstein New Series, the unique, fully evaluated data collection in all areas of physical sciences and engineering. It is a systematic and comprehensive resource of selected and critically assessed data explained in their scientific context.

The German National Library of Science and Technology (TIB) ‒ Leibniz Information Centre for Science and Technology and University Library is a central specialised library, responsible for operating the German National Library for technology, architecture, chemistry, information technology, mathematics and physics as well as the University Library for Leibniz Universität Hannover. As the world's largest specialised library in its fields, the library has excellent collections of technical and scientific specialist and research information.
Archive of 15 periodicals and proceedings published online by Trans Tech Publications during the period between 1984 and 2016. The archive - with its broad subject diversity and its renowned journals indexed in well-established databases (e.g. Material Science Forum, Defect and Diffusion Forum, Key Engineering Materials) - is a valuable platform for the bibliographic retrieval of scientists, especially in the field of modern solid state and materials science.
