The Max Planck e-Book Index provides holdings of electronic books licensed for users in the Max Planck Society.

The Max Planck Journal Index provides holdings of a great range of printed journals available within the Max Planck Society. Besides, it contains metadata of electronic journals as loaded from the EZB. The database is updated regularly from the ZDB (twice a year) and the EZB (monthly).

MPG.PuRe is the publication repository of the Max Planck Society. It contains bibliographic data and numerous fulltexts of the publications of its researchers. The repository is based on PubMan, a publication repository software developed by the Max Planck Digital Library. PuRe was introduced in the MPG in May 2009 and replaced the former institutional repository eDoc.

The library collects literature on public international law and foreign public law from all over the world and in all languages. The library has the status of a United Nations Depository Library since 1949 and is also a European Documentation Centre of the European Union.

The Library and Information Service (BIS) is the joint library for the Max-Planck-Institute for Meteorology (MPI-M) and five institutes of the Center for Earth System Science and Sustainability. The cooperation with some university institutes regarding the library exists since the foundation of the MPI-M in 1975.

The MPI-CBG library provides comprehensive literature and informations services to all MPI-CBG members and guests.

The Library of the Max-Planck-Institute for the Study of Religious and Ethnic Diversity is a specialized library with a focus on religious studies, anthropology, political science and sociology. Collection of 949 texts about mysticism and asceticism, written by 414 12th to 18th century authors from the benedictines' abbey St. Walburg in Eichstätt, published between the 16th and the 19th century. Single works have been digitally facsimilized and are available in pdf format. Most texts are written in German, only 10% are in Latin. Nearly half of the works are translations, which accounts for the high degree of cultural exchange between Germany, Italy, France, Spain and Portugal during the 17th and 18th centuries. St. Walburg Abbey is one of the few monasteries that have survived secularization. The monastery's library, the traces of which reach back to the second half of the 15th century, has been preserved completely and is unique regarding its wholeness.

A collaborative effort of the Networked Digital Library of Theses and Dissertations (NDLTD), OCLC, VTLS, and Scirus, the NDLTD Union Catalog contains more than one million records of electronic theses and dissertations. For students and researchers, the Union Catalog makes individual collections of NDLTD member institutions and consortia appear as one seamless digital library of electronic theses and dissertations.

Nomos eLibrary provides access to academic books and journals in the subject areas of law, political sciences, economics, media and communication sciences, history, sociology, education and cultural studies, European Union, health sciences. The book selection has been continuously extended through the acquisition of individual eBook packages by MPG libraries. From volume 2022 onwards, access is given to the complete Nomos eBook portfolio. The database OLC Ibero-America, Spain and Portugal is a regional related section from the Online Contents database that is constantly being completed with the addition of selected journals from the competent Libraries, the Library of the Ibero-American Institute Prussian Cultural Heritage (Ibero-America and the Caribbean) and the state and university library SUB Hamburg (Spain and Portugal). Currently more than 1.400 journals are being indexed. Gradually earlier editions of these journals will also be made accessible.

The multidisciplinary database OLC International Relations and Area Studies contains table of contents of journals from several special subject collections, including political science, economics, the Middle East and other regional special subject collections. It offers a multidisciplinary selection from the Online Contents database, with additional input from other special subject collections. The International Relations and Area Studies section currently covers approximately 797 journals.

Online Contents Law is a subject-based selection of bibliographic data from the database Online Contents. The improvement of the Online Contents Law database is supported by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (German Research Foundation) - from 2006 - within Internet portal Virtuelle Fachbibliothek Recht (Virtual Library Law). The further development of the database is coordinated by the Sondersammelgebiet Rechtswissenschaft (Special Collection Law) of the Staatsbibliothek zu Berlin - Preußischer Kulturbesitz (Berlin State Library - Prussian Cultural Heritage). 88 journals cover the ibero-american law and are part of the Online Contents - SSG Ibero-America.

Currently 2,393 journals are being indexed back to the year of publication in 1993.

Olms Online is an e-book portal providing access to following collections: * Reprints: About 400 volumes with a focus on German language and literature and on philosophy. Olms Online presents titles with additional information. These are reprints with new introductions, afterwords, notes or indexes added by the editors. * Frankfurt and Leipzig Book Fair Catalogues: Book-trade catalogues, generally referred to as book fair catalogues, offer a unique overview of German and European book production over a period of nearly 300 years (1594-1860).

Catalogue of Exhibited Works and Depository Holdings. The online edition Paintings in Museums presents a systematic index of the entire holdings of works, both on display and in deposits, owned by nearly 650 museums in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. A comprehensive and current catalogue for over 178,000 paintings, pastels, gouaches as well as mixed-media works from all ages, genres and styles of about 31,200 artists is therefore available to the user.

The database POLDOK, in its current version, contains up to 40,000 documents including bibliographical metadata, subject headings and summaries about the topic "Politics of the 80ies". The retrieval system "Freitext" enables fast and convenient access to the database. Freitext was developed in the course of the BMFT project "FiSch - Fachinformation in Schulen" under the management of Prof. Dr. Robert Funk. -- Die Datenbank POLDOK enthält in der vorliegenden Fassung knapp 40.000 Dokumente mit bibliographischen Angaben, Schlagwörtern und Kurzreferaten zum Themenbereich "Politik der 80er Jahre". The database is bilingual: titles and descriptors are in German and English. German publications are abstracted in German; English publications in English. The database is indexed with the Thesaurus of Psychological Index Terms by permission of the American Psychological Association. A bilingual thesaurus is included with the database.

"Psyndex - Tests" contains records on psychology from researchers in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. Compiled by the Leibniz Institute for Psychology Information (ZPID), this database covers about 5,000 extensive descriptions of psychological and educational tests used in the German-speaking countries. "Psyndex - Tests" is bilingual: titles and descriptors are in German and English. German publications are abstracted in German; English publications in English. The database also include theoretical background, testing procedures, test construction, reliability, validity, fields of application, research and other selected literature, a comprehensive discussion, and test reviews. "Psyndex - Tests" is indexed with the Thesaurus of Psychological Index Terms by permission of the American Psychological Association (APA). A bilingual thesaurus is included with the database.

RiffReporter delivers in-depth and thoroughly researched journalistic content on topics such as environment, science, technology, society and global affairs. The cooperatively run journalism portal was awarded the renowned Grimme Online Award in 2018. The MPG subscription covers full text access to all content available on the RiffReporter platform.

Das "Répertoire International d'Iconographie Musicale" (RIdIM) ist ein internationaler Verbund zur Verzeichnung und Erschließung von Musik- und Tanzdarstellungen im Bereich der bildenden Kunst und des Kunsthandwerks. In der "Datenbank zu Musik und Tanz in der Kunst" der RIdIM Arbeitsstelle Deutschland werden v.a. Objekte aus größeren Museen, Sammlungen und Bibliotheken in Deutschland katalogisiert. Die Erschließung der Kunstwerke in der Datenbank folgt formalen (Künstler, Titel, Entstehungsland, bzw. -ort, Technik, Datierung, besitzende Institution, Inventarnummer, etc.) und inhaltlichen Kriterien (allgemeine und musikalische Ikonographie, Musikinstrumente, allgemeine Beschreibung). Begleitend zur Katalogisierung dokumentiert die Arbeitsstelle die katalogisierten Objekte mit Bildreproduktionen.
