Essential Science Indicators is a product that enables researchers to conduct ongoing, quantitative analyses of research performance and track trends in science. Covering a multidisciplinary selection of more than 11,000 journals from around the world, this in-depth analytical tool offers data for ranking scientists, institutions, countries, and journals. Available on the InCites platform, the ESI data may directly be accessed from highly ranked records in the Web of Science.
The Journal Citation Reports provide statistical information (e.g. journal impact factors) on the journals covered by the ISI databases. The two editions of the JCR include information on more than 8,500 science journals and 3,000 social sciences journals. The statistical information in the JCR is based on citation data and newly calculated every year. Available on the InCites platform, the JCR may directly be accessed from most of the records included in the Web of Science.
