The oldest Soviet and Russian academic history journal, Voprosy istorii ("Issues of History") has offered scholarly perspectives on events in Russia and the world since 1926. Published by the Russian Academy of Sciences, this legendary journal covering Russian and world history was first published under the title Istorik-Marksist (Marxist Historian, 1926-1941), then Istoricheskii zhurnal (History Journal, 1937-1945) and finally under the present title (since 1945). Voprosy istorii is a forum for distinguished historians from Russia and abroad who regularly contribute analyses on a broad scope of issues. Also offered in the journal are portraits, journalism, memoirs, and more, from a historical perspective. Voprosy istorii is also recognized for the publication of unedited and archival materials, including those recently declassified.

This collection contains 35.000 pages of English-speaking national literature from 116 books originally published between 1789 and 1834. Independently from authors' places of birth, their works have been selected for the collection according to their Wales-related content. The collection has been compiled by members of Cardiff University, Wales, from literature holdings of the Fürstliche Bibliothek Corvey. E-books contain digitally enhanced facsimile pages of historical book pages, and even bookmarks to relevant parts of works. Within e-book pages, i.e. within historical texts and layout, fulltext searches can be performed.

Full text database containing material from China's republican period (1911 - 1949) and from the Peoples' Republic of China, from single districts and provinces. This material comprises items which are difficult to reference bibliographically, and which have been compiled since 1960, to provide historical and contemporary information from the various regions. Certain items are even related to the Opium Wars or to the conflicts with the West starting in the 1890s.

The publications particularly deal with the socio-economic development in less developed countries and regions, and comprise research results in the fields of development policy, economic policy, foreign trade, health, education, development aid, and poverty. Artek's Archive reflects the recreation camp's history between 1944 and 1967, containing government documents on Soviet social and health policies, administrative, medical and financial records, transcripts of meetings, materials on educational and ideological work carried out in the camp statistical reports, food rations and provision standards, letters from Soviet and foreign children, diaries etc.
